Okay I have a switch I bought a year ago, I have probably played it a combined total of like 20 hours in that time and mostly that was all Mario Kart. I am enjoying RBI Baseball '19 since I picked it back up specifically to play that but I want to know what else people are SUPER into and can recommend?

I enjoyed Fallout Shelter but I had started a vault on my PC before getting the switch so starting over was kind of a chore for me and I put it away. I mostly play handheld and Rocket League I find to hurt my hand and the text is almost too small for handheld or something. I kinda enjoy the retro stuff, the nintendo emulator is cool, old sonic games are fun, but I don't know, I feel like I need/ want something I haven't yet found. Thought Fortnite would have been it but i just didn't get it.

Back when I played XBOX my favorite games were Burnout Paradise, Ghostbusters, and COD.

 

Uh, that’s awesome, haha.

Anyway, can’t go wrong with the hits: Zelda BotW, Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Splatoon 2.

Also, if you like old Sonic, Sonic Mania should be a great choice. There’s a ton of great retro-ish indie games on the eShop. Google some lists maybe, you’ll find something there.

 

Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 are the 2 games I've played on Switch so far that made me think "holy shit EVERYONE needs to play these"

 

Picked up Super Mario Maker for the Wii U today at Walmart since it was $15. Going to prep myself for the second one.

I've read good, fun things about it generally. Especially if you have a friend to play it with

 

I’m debating about buying it while I wait for Cuphead.

 

@oldjersey i don't know how to upload a pic from my Switch here, this was my loadout;

• Oiled Sword III-S (1563 DPS +125% damage)
• Knockback Shield II-L (Absorbs 75% damage - 279 [558] damage +100% damage)
• Sinew Slicer V+ (186 DPS [1.5 sec] +100% damage)
• Crusher VII (Inflicts 1861 damage +100% damage)

and then I had a Sapphire Amulet VII for -10% damage received and damage i take is inflicted on the enemy

worst part is my death was entirely my fault due to trying to regain health by parring an attack instead of drinking my flask which still had 1 use left

 

I never ever try to party although I hear green builds are the best for higher difficulty. The way I've been beating HotK is by finding a solid tactical main weapon (you may have to find the blue print for pyrotechnics or frenzied sword) and just bulking up on a tactical build .

 

my Tactics were actually at like 11 or 12 for this run!

Before I give you suggestions I'd like to remind everyone here that Luigi's Mansion 3 is set to release this year so hopefully that will fill your Ghostbusters fix.

As for my suggestions, I'm going to do my best to give you some titles that might not be suggested as much and are really great in handheld mode. I will also try to give you some cheaper games so you can try out a bunch and feel like you don't have to spend $100+ dollars for a lot of content. So here we go:

Trials Rising - $24.99

Try again and again and...again! Trials Rising brings out the most extreme biker in all us as you try to make your way through crazy obstacle courses taking place all over the world on your motorcycle. Compete against the clock in single player or your friends in online multiplayer.

Yoku's Island Express - $19.99

Do you like platformers? Do you like pinball? If the answer to both questions is yes then you should check out Yoku's Island Express, a platformer that uses pinball mechanics to traverse the island and battle bosses.

Warframe - Free Download

Has it always been your dream to be a space ninja? Do you have a secret desire to have a weird ass alien dog as a pet? Warframe gives you both in a nice free to play package where you travel from planet to planet shooting enemies, using special abilities and unlocking new warframes to play as. (Disclaimer: the gameplay loop can take a little while to get into, but the shooting mechanics and powers are really cool as well as the community of players)

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - $19.99

In this soft reboot of the series, you play as Shantae, a half genie who gains the ability to transform into different animals through various dances. Whip your hair back and forth across enemies to beat them into submission and save the day!

I have more suggestions if none of these float your boat, but hopefully one of them will.

Given your love for old games, to this list I’d add Golf Story, an RPG somewhere between Mario Golf and Earthbound, Shovel Knight, an awesome Ducktales-like, and Stardew Valley, a Harvest Moon-like.

 

Also all of you should play Mark of the Ninja. I’m not kidding when I say it’s one of the best stealth games ever made and one of my favorite games of all time. It’s near perfect.

 

Yeah that's pretty damn low haha. I'd say for my final battles I've been at at least 17. That's 75 percent more damage at least. Have you gotten all the runes?

 

I know it didn't get great reviews but castle of heart is £1.34 on the eshop lol I'll take it

holy shit really? damn, it was pretty high for me! i finally got the Ram Rune recently, haven't gotten the wall jump/spider-climb rune or whatever it's called.
still got some grinding to do to find wherever that is. i wanna see if there's any more weapon blueprints to find!
