You can find equipment for pretty cheap. They make like low-mid-high end for each piece of equipment.

Once you buy it once you pretty much have it for life so it's a great investment in my opinion.

The skates are the only thing I spent a lot of money on but I keep those things for 10 years at least.

I've had my helmet, gloves, pants, elbow pads since I was like 16.

My jockstrap just turned 4 this year.
