the j mascis squier one most likely it's on consignment for a bit over 300 bucks at a local place here. but i also saw that it's got some friends so i might take a look at those and see if they're similarly cheap and still sound and feel good and whatnot. what do you have?? i could've sworn i've seen you make those cool music video type things you do w a jazzy but i guess it was a random offset?

this is my fear :( I wanna make sure i get all the time I want with it but that looks unlikely in the short term. but yeah same i've wanted it for so long and so much music i love has been created w it i just can't imagine ever wanting to give it up. this is encouraging i feel less nervous about it now lol

 

I have a Jazzmaster by Squier but I want a true Fender American Jazzmaster but it’s close to $1k. But yeah, even with the Squier I get some seriously amazing tones out of that thing, although, a lot of that is due to my Orange amp

 

oh yeah agree that's like the long term goal haha but i've heard great things about the J Mascis squier so im okay throwing in for that until the dream dream is achieved. I need to look into an amp I wanna pair with it too, the amp I was looking at for my purposes was a Vox AC 15 or AC 30 but that was what I had in mind for my tele. I wanted the Vox for clean, jangly type stuff, but for a jazzmaster i'd want to emphasize other things I think

 

some of these decisions would make more sense if i played shows but i'll at least end up recording stuff and i feel like that's fine too
