Contortionist was the first thing that came to mind.

Add in some scale the summit and erra, yes please

 

I wish I could get into Erra but it just never clicked for me.

 

I enjoyed Erra's first two albums but after Augment they went downhill

Not as fast as Northlane, but still...downhill

 

I may be missing something but Erra just sounds like they're trying to be a watered down Misery Signals with more cleans.

 

As much as I hate to be a negative Nancy, Erra has never done anything for me, and they haven't done anything that hasn't been done by another band (ala Misery Signals) with a lot better execution.

The new Magic Circle is everything.

 

Album "Drift" was pretty legit; by far my favorite album from them

 

The guitarist has gone on record as saying Mis Sigs is one of their major influences

Then he got kicked out (not for that lol)

The new Triumvir Foul slaps pretty hard if you're into bestial black/death metal hybrids.

 

I still can't get over that art haha. I almost prefer the Pissgrave album art

It's funny though I love misery signals but never got an MS vibe from erra.

 

She'd agree. The girl can't handle horror movies and gore at all. Plus, I already get chuckles from her related to the metal shirts I own that have some questionable content. Particularly this Inter Arma one that has boobs:

never really paid much attention to them in the past but I'm really digging that new Rammstein track, the video is pretty great too, tho I can see why people might get the wrong impression from the imagery.

 

Drift is what finally got me into them but it wasnt immediate. Took a few listens. The opening track gets me going everytime though.

 

On another note, saw Ulthar, Giant of the Mountain, Kombat and Frozen Soul last night for free. Plus the bar had $2 Tecates. Good times.

@mescalineeyes have you heard of Holy Fawn? They remind me of what you are trying to do with your band a bit. They were on Holy Roar/Deathwish and just signed to Triple Crown.
