I don't want a deluxe edition, because I want the new Blink album to be a cohesive project that stands on it's own.

California, imo, was really disjointed. The only overarching theme was the fact they were recorded and written at the same time with the same 4 people. The songs were fine, but the album itself wasn't strong, which is why they could just tag an additional 10 random songs and still say it was the same album.

I want the album to mean something in its own right.

 

I can understand not liking the album or the deluxe, but I don’t agree with this line of thinking. There are plenty of cohesive albums that have deluxe versions.

 

I'll correct my original statement:

I'm fine if there is a deluxe (director's cut) release, or even a deluxe with a few acoustic songs, b-sides & remixes.

I don't want a B-sides album disguised as a deluxe release.

I supersticiously never listen to the band day-of a show

 

I typically don’t so that I don’t burn out before seeing them but it would be nice to know more than 3 songs haha

 

I listen to them on and off for the days leading up to the show, and then on the way to the show lol

Same here, it bothers me greatly when I'm with someone and they do because of my dumb superstition lol

 

I've had like, 3 instances of listening day-of when I didn't want to, and all 3 led to shitty shows/situations. ITS REAL

 

Mark's verse in how to live is soooo plus 44.... Why doesnt he write like this for blink?? Pretty obvious he wrote guitars for that song.

 

I NEVER listen to the same band on same day of show or wear the band’s merch at their show. I know the latter is silly as if you went to a Red Sox game you’ll wear your Red Sox shirt, but for shows I NEVER do.

And every time people question me.

 

Maybe he did on the next album. TBD

 

Haha I don't listen to the band the day of a show not really due to superstition but I always felt like it built more suspense for the show, and then we listen to them on the way home and instantly reminisce about the show while we listen. And I don't really wear the band shirts but for me it's just because I'm in a band and I hate being that lil fanboy haha. But if I wasn't a musician I'd be all over wearing the band's shirts to shows.

 

I ALWAYS wear the bands shirt if I own one. It’s my ritual. I’ve even went and bought shirts from their web store to wear to the show if there’s time before

 

I stopped listening to music the day that Tom Petty died because I was listening to his music right before I heard the news. Haven't listened to a note of music since!

(Just kidding about the part where I said I stopped listening to music... but not jk to the fact that I feel a little responsible for TP's death)

I always make it a point to not wear the band's shirt that I'm going to see that night, haha. If I'm wearing a Blink shirt during the day but I'm seeing them later that night, I will make it a point to change my shirt before leaving my apartment. But sometimes I'll wear a similar band's shirt in hopes that someone will be like "hey nice shirt!" and then we'll become bestest friends.

 

I also don't wear band shirts to the band's show, well... I don't really own band shirts anymore, which is sad, because I guess I am old.

 

I'm 32 and I have a bunch of band shirts still. Some I've had for 10+ years, haha. Besides band shirts, I have blank t-shirts in various colors. I need Tan from Queer Eye to come raid my closet.

 

Every single episode of that show I wish SO BADLY that he can help me with my wardrobe. I don't think I dress like, super shitty or anything, but I'd love a new wardrobe from him. I just don't want to pay for it, hah

The majority of my wardrobe is band shirts. I have:

12 Blink-182
8 Hawthorne Heights
4 Taking Back Sunday
2 Story Of The Year
1 Starset
1 Jacks Mannequin

And I still buy them at the merch tables. #noshame

 

I have like 3 Blink shirts, but only 1 of a bunch of other bands.

 

I feel like I’m forgetting a couple bands...oh wait I also have a Silverstein shirt.
