Wonder if he's Thrawn. He's supposed to appear in Rebels and Dave Filoni has been teasing a link between Rebels and Rogue One.

 

Eh, it would only be him by name. I wouldn't like that. But we should know within the hour.

Saw Gerrera

 

That's awesome, The Onderon story arc is one of my favorites from Clone wars. It's very cool to see they're tying one of those characters into a feature film.

 

I love that they're tying him in! He was also mentioned in Bloodline. So good!

 

Whittaker being Saw Gerrera, to me, is freaking amazing. While he hasn't been spotlighted that much so far in the canon, you can tell by what you've seen of him so far how important he is. The Onderon Rebels were one of the earliest forms of the rebel alliance, even from the clone wars, their sigil is similar to what the rebel logo becomes. Gerrera is mentioned in multiple books, and in Rebels. To tie that story together and make him part of this team is, as a huge star wars fan that follows all the canon, hugely exciting.
For most people he'll just be a bad ass with some history to look back on. It's great either way.

 

Confirmed that James Earl Jones is returning as the voice of Darth Vader.

 

Seemed like a given. He has been doing Rebels. It would have been so weird if he didn't then do this.

Good to know its confirmed though.

As someone with no interest in the shows, I'm still excited for that connection. Worldbuilding is the coolest.

 

Going to Star Wars Celebration in London next weekend. Pretty excited for the Rogue One panel with Kathy Kennedy and Gareth Edwards. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the cast make an appearance as well. Currently re-watching Clone Wars, Saw Gerrera is a bad ass.

 

I want to go to Star Wars Celebration one year. Looks like fun.
