I listen to it when I'm driving at night. Gotta play up the spookiness

Reminds me of Here Be Monsters with his cadence. Listened to about 4 episodes this morning and enjoyed them. Like how they're relatively short. Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't have a desk job per se but being able to listen to stuff at work is a nice perk.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

i listened to three while at the gym today and aside from his odd cadence / pauses, he also uses some really fucking unusual analogies for things, almost to the point where the analogy is more descriptive and less helpful than what he's trying to describe. i'll have to find it again, but there was one that made me stop what i was doing because it gave me the chuckles so bad.

  9. Currently watching Monica the Medium... Has anyone been to a medium? What are you thoughts about mediums and do you belive in what they can do?

I have seen a little bit of that show. I am definitely intrigued by them but I'm pretty sure I don't believe them. I have a healthy dose of skepticism although I would not turn down the opportunity to be proved wrong!
It's just impossible to trust tv shows because obviously they edit it how they want.

  11. I understand the not trusting tv shows. I just find it really interesting from what I've seen and just wondered if anyone on here has seen a medium or has seen signs from a loved one. I'm a "I have to see it to believe it" type of person, I believe in spirits (I played with a Ouija board before. never again). I haven't had anyone close to be pass (yet) so who knows.

never seen a medium. went to a palm reader once. said my timeline showed i was once an endangered species and that currently my "integrity of things makes you stand out and likely just as endangered in this life". whatever that means. she also said i was a really nice, good person so that's when i knew she was bullshitting.

  13. Palm readers and tarot cards, I'm iffy on about their credibility. I hear that a lot of "psychics" readings are just really generalized and can be true for just about anyone who goes to them, but when you get into the specifics about things that maybe no one knows, then I'm like okay, maybe this is for real.

I am definitely a "have to see it to believe it" person as well. That's why I'm totally open to being proved wrong if it happened in front of me (either to me or someone I was close with). But I find the shows entertaining. I won't even lie, the long island medium has made me cry before. Maybe sometimes you just want to believe it.

  15. I have seen long island medium, or other medium shows besides this one. this one just happens to be on a network with other shows I watch

My cousin claims to have the ability to see dead people.

I don't believe in it. I know people that will pay $200 for a session with a medium though. They say the person can give specific names and details and whatnot. That being said, from what I've read about cold readings, people can "know" things they should have no way of knowing -- it's all psychological manipulation.

  18. I want to believe, but it's a far stretch sometimes. My fiance's mother had a psychic over for a party years and years back when my fiance was little. The psychic claimed that "Jessica would only go to school (college) for a year before leaving to do something great." Her mom claimed she never mentioned her daughters or their names around the psychic, but they were in her home, so I'm sure there were plenty of pictures and/or other context clues. Also, my fiance just graduated with her bachelor's degree and will get her master's in occupational therapy next May, so...haha

Lore is great, though my wife says he talks like a robot. For a much lighter podcast based on creepy historical events, try History Goes Bump, it's not bad.

I listen to Jim Harold's Campfire podcast, where people call in to tell their own personal paranormal stories. You can kinda tell who is lying or embellishing, which is interesting. But there are some good stories
