There is simply no way I can accept the band would now start to have rotating guitarist/singer depending on Tom's mood. It just wouldn't make sense. It's too unpredictable and Blink is too big of a business to continue that way.

 

Its obvious, tour with Skiba until the band starts declining in popularity and then bring back Tom for that sweet reunion cash

 

I think we read too much into things, and the situation's been more than cleared out by the band. I can only imagine Mark's face when he's starts reading the kind of thing Tom writes from time to time. It definitely takes the focus out of the new album and straight into controversy. People I know that are not that into blink were more impacted by "Tom quit blink to search for UFOs" news than "blink-182 is releasing a new album" this week...

 

So can we make an album thread just so we can talk about the new album? I feel like we're losing track in here. Blink-182 is Mark, Matt, and Travis right now. They've created an album that deserves our attention. We're pulling a Tom and getting sidetracked.

I'm sorry but I just came across this and I have to get confirmation on whether this is real. Because it can't be.

 

How do we think this album is going to sell first week?

 

I'm sad those purple cassettes are going to sell out before I get paid. I'm still kicking myself for not biting the bullet on the signed purple vinyl and drum head. I couldn't justify the cost just to have a signed thing with no sentimental value.

Album - Blink-182 - California (July 1, 2016)

 

Microsoft paid $500K for that.

 

I'd shit my pants if they played Dick Lips live... holy shit. I was at Firefly and they played the set I expected, but I'm fully expecting a "holy shit, they played "that song" last night" moment when I see them again in a couple months... hopefully at least.

 

They played Dick Lips at the Untitled 10 year show in LA - sounded great then... But I was shitfaced

You think they're going to sell out soon?

 

So, I need to keep my mind occupied for the next few days. What are some newer albums I should check out? I have been loving Goodness by The Hotelier, but I kind of need a break from it, so what are your suggestions?

I like the new RHCP album a lot, but it didn't grab me like I wanted it to. I guess I am not in a Chili Peppers mood right now if that makes sense. I have never really listened to Thrice. Give me a starting place and I will check them out.
