Veil of Maya ruled last night except I don't think Luke will ever be a great singer live.

I'm glad to see American Sin are finally getting out there. They used to be a Post-Hardcore band called Come the Dawn.

Playing half empty dive bars full of drunk 40 year olds waiting to hear the Hinder radio hits is getting out there?

The nearest date for me is The Apollo Theater and some big names play there.

They are on tour now with Adelitas Way, too. Touring is better than just sitting at home, IMO.

I enjoy the hell out of Emarosa and Set It Off are actually a way better live band then on record...

Set It Off used to be a really fun band. Then they released Upside Down. Now I couldn't care less. But that's just me.

A good portion of those venues are typical 1,000 - 2,000 cap spots.

Set It Off's Upside Down was a bit modern Fall Out Boy-ish for lack of a better description (overproduced, trying too hard to be anthemic without being fun) but the songs off of it they play live (Something New, Life Afraid, Hyonotized, Admit It) still go off in a concert environment. So do some songs off Midnight.

Lizzy Farrell is badass if songwriter-style indie-pop is your thing, and Broadside is probably the best best band on the pop side of pop-punk (but I do admit, at a certain point their songs start to blend together, but that's the price you pay when you have a singer with a unique voice)

PHC Emarosa kinda died when Jonny left (like fuck him, but still, Bradley just has even less range and no personality when trying to be rocker) but Peach Club is pretty awesome.

Broadside totally isnt my thing, but I still get the appeal for them. All the other bands on that tour seem fine, I listened to sio a lot when duality was the new album but when upside down released I just kinda stopped caring and haven't seen them live since warped 2016

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

Don't see why this rules them out for Osheaga, there have been plenty of bands who have played TO and Osheaga in the same season, I don't think it affects the radius clause.

In other news, The Dirty Nil have been added to '77 Fest and City and Colour is the first confirmed artist for Osheaga.
