I don’t play enough games to get it but my brother got it so he’s already on the grind.

So your level doesn't reset for the new season? I could have sworn your level would have reset at the start of the season

 

I think they are going to after season one

 

Anyone know how long Season 1 is going to be?

Does this mean I get the character or the chance to unlock the character? What do you actually just get right away?

 

Character is separate from the pass, Octane functions the same as Caustic/Mirage, you spend legend tokens/real money to unlock. There's 3 skins you get right away from the pass, that's about it.

 

What a letdown all of this is.

 

I can understand for people who really like cosmetics and challenges how this would definitely be a let down...I don't care so much for that stuff but I do like the balance/patch and a new hero is cool so I'm not that upset, but again I can understand why some people are mad. The rewards are pretty lackluster. They said their focus wasn't on challenges for season 1 so sounds like it probably will be in the future, but I know that doesn't do much for the people who wanted it now.

 

I feel like the patch didn't do enough. no new weapons, no changes to the map and yeah the lacklustre season pass is just... s'sad.

 

I don’t believe new Legends are in any way related to the Battle Pass. My understanding is that BP is only cosmetic items.

 

i don’t really think i can pass judgment on the battle pass until three months from now. if i get level 100 or close, than its great. if i don’t, then it’s not, and i just won’t buy it again. i def won’t be prioritizing it over other great games to get there. i got almost to level 2 today with an hour of play. if i can really get there averaging an hour or two of play a day, i think it’ll be a great value.

 

The patch is awesome. Fixes a lot of stuff. And we got a new Legend.

 

Octane is a ton of fun to play, and his running animation is hysterical.

As far as the BP goes, I play enough most days of the week to justify it. The skins and rewards could most definitely be better, but considering max leveling this one will pay for the second season (and this one only cost me $5 to begin with), I can’t be too mad about it.

 

Fuck it. I don’t care about cosmetics at all. But I just bought the BP anyways to support this game.

 

This is the right response. I love all the people who were bitching about them not having a BP ready and then when they finally do they just bitch about how it's not what they wanted. Like just give it some time, the game just came out and it was free. Spend the ten or don't.

 

Yeah. I see nothing to complain about. I think Respawn has done great for a free game.

 

I don’t know what to do. I want to give them some money, but I don’t know for what, because I don’t like/care about any of the options.

 

The battle pass takes 20 hours a week to max out over the season and you have to play all nine characters every week.

Just saying.

 

So that sounds like a no for me. I have little to no interest in most characters and my game time management isn’t good enough. Thanks for the information. Really, what I would want to do is just maybe buy some skins outright. But coin systems really turn me off.

I honestly don’t care about all that stuff. I don’t even really care at all about skins I do like. I just want to give them some money, but if I do that, I want it to at least kind of make sense for me lol

 

hear me out, I know this is petty, but I have 140 hours in the game without the battle pass. like, I'm good, you know? like, I've had all the fun I wanted. Had they given me a good/cool reason to grind more games out I would've gladly taken it. Or at least significant changes to the map to make it feel fresh.

But another 140 hour grind with lacklustre rewards on the same map is a bit of a tough sell.
