Ha I really wouldn't know, I only joined this site about a month or two ago and I've never been able to support (broke-ass graduate). Just another paranoid line of thinking of mine.

 

yeah that seems like a couple of big assumptions. who's to say the band is even going to do a pre-order? that would be a pretty traditional move from a band that can pretty much do whatever they want.

 

That'd be even worse then, if folk knew about an album drop that could sell out (in terms of vinyl variants/deluxe edition kinda stuff if they did that) before others. That's what I'm concerned about. The fact that they're non-traditional really doesn't help things as I'm from the UK and will probably be bloody asleep when it drops. Hence the panic. I know it's intensely annoying and comes across as childish but hey, we all have our vices. I worry about these things.

 

I was able to order the bundle for Daisy when it was announced pretty easily. I don't believe I was sitting at a computer hitting refresh forever either. So I imagine that they'll have a pretty solid amount of preorders ready to go again, just like last time.

 

You will most likely spend more time spamming refresh waiting for the announcement then actually ordering it :)

 

Absolutely yeah, I'm just concerned they'll end up dropping it at some dumb time like 11pm here and then I won't know til 9am in the morning and finding out too late :') Paranoia Central.

 

I say this with all sincerity - if you care about this band enough to be actively checking this and other threads then I'd be shocked if you somehow missed out on a pre-order/announcement. and if you do, dont worry - they re-issue everything all the time. there is essentially no shortage of brand new merch.

 

Their recent trend -- even with the IAAN vinyl -- is to allow for an indefinite amount of purchases. I would venture to guess that they'll do the same thing with the album.

 

People wanna get in on the "First 250 orders receive autographed album covers" kinda deals.

 

Yeahhhh. Apologies for coming across like a bloody One Direction fan. I rely on this band's music for far too much and I get carried away.

My god that would be brilliant, but I can't see potential coloured vinyl variants or whatever they do being continually pressed. I'm sure it'll be available no problem yeah, but as Kevin said:

I got order numero uno with the Daisy preorders.

Sure, but if it's causing the kind of stress expressed above it would probably be wise to take a couple steps back and calm down about it. It's only an album. That may never come out. Or come out one song at a time. It's really the absolute worst band to be obsessed with on that level.

I remember because I got the first order according to the merch people. We were in a lot of communication because my school address was creating so many issues with the order.

So weird to think back to that semester of college too. Worst 4 months of my life. The whole address thing was just another little something to go wrong. 7 years ago doesn't feel that long really.

 

What a shitty pre-order. Hahaha. Like, why not just ask them to sign something at a show? Weird. I don't get caring about being one of the first to order an album at all. Especially to the insane obsessiveness in this thread ...

 

People like to be the first in a lot of things. I remember a time when everyone raced to post "first" in every new thread. Haha.

I suspect LP5, if it's ever actually coming, will be an indefinite pressing. No rush.

 

I wouldn't call it insane obsessiveness. It's not having a detrimental effect on my health. I have a job, I go outside a lot and see my friends and family, etc :')
It may well come across in an embarrassing fashion, but I'm just really fucking passionate about Brand New and I annoy myself by constantly apologising for it. Their music has gotten me through some tough times and I feel as though I owe them a lot. Knowing this is their last LP is huge to me, and I want to make damn sure that it's as special as it can be. So shoot me for it!

maybe you were just exaggerating. But you mentioned that you are paranoid about it multiple times. It's a little much.

also, I get being passionate about a band but the reality is that Brand New are gonna do whatever they want, whenever they want. this release could be shelved if they don't like it and we have to accept that.
