I think Kofi winning the big one is most definitely gonna overshadow Becky, at least on the night of - maybe not on the following SD. People just dont give two shits about this story anymore.

 

Orange Cassidy is honestly my favorite wrestler of 2019 so far.

 

Not giving a shit about the story doesn’t mean anyone has soured on becky. The place will erupt when she wins.

 

If the crowd is still alive after 14 hours if that match is main eventing. That's my only worry with that match last. I hope the crowd still goes crazy for Becky winning.

I mean, I watch deathmatches. So this is rather tame to me.

Not gonna go out of my way to watch those matches but

 

It diminishes the payoff and makes people less invested though. You're relying entirely on the strength of Becky's character at that point

 

the Big E promo does this best The New Day are putting fun and games aside for now

 

hell man Seth beating Brock might even overshadow the Becky moment

 

Kofis pop for winning will probably be louder than Becky's (if they win) for several reasons.

 

They’ve been relying just on her character for like six months straight already though and she still gets huge pops.

If anything, @Joe4th is right that the pop might be dampened because of the length of the show more than anything (or that earlie matches might’ve worn the crowd out.

 

Having Becky on tv twice a week ain't helping.

I'm also sick of seeing Black and Ricochet do their rope gimmick twice a week with their opponents still surprised.

 

I feel like those pops have gotten a slight bit lower the past few weeks. The length of the show but ALSO the crappy storyline are at least putting a damper on the crowd reaction at Mania. A very invested storyline would keep the crowd very invested no matter how long the show but now it's just like, 'okay this is when Becky will win the title and it will be cool'.

 

So, pretty much what WWE has always done.
