I giggled about it for a good while. Lol

 

I don’t like AVA at all but I have this weird desire to see them live anyway, what’s that about?

 

I had fun the two times I saw them. Granted it was pre-Love, both shows were in the I-Empire cycle I think.

 

Saw AVA on their first tour with TBS and Head Automatica - apart from the magical moment when rain came pouring down as Valkyrie Missile hit it was pretty terrible. Second time was during Love Pt 1 and it was... amazing? I couldn't believe how good it was and Tom was on-key for a majority of the show.

 

Was he using an autotune thingy?

 

I want to see them live again for Dream Walker songs and their last EP.

 

If I never see AVA live again, I'd be totally fine. But if they played at a small-ish venue here, and it wasn't on a band practice night or night of another show, I'd buy a ticket.

 

Yeah I'd go and see AvA. I'm not entirely sure why, since the last thing of theirs I liked was close to 10 years ago, but I imagine they put on a reasonable show.

 

It is very possible, but I still heard out of key notes here and there. If anything there was a stabilizer to help the pitch remain strong and less of a pitch correction. Plus - having vocals reverb'd the fuck out makes the bad notes seem even worse and prolonged.

 

I can confirm that Tom and the band sounded great during the LOVE tour.

I loved AVA in 7th Grade but never got to see them live, so I'd totally go see them. Hope they do M&G's.

This post makes me feel extremely old as WDNTW came out while I was a senior in college.

I would be down for that. They play most of the songs anyway. Wouldn't hate seeing Anthem, Aliens Exist, and Don't Leave Me live though!

 

Just give me the new album and tour. Thats all I want right now lol.

Just kidding. But for real, I don't really think I would personally be interested. I legitimately don't have a rational reason to argue with it, but there's just something about it that doesn't interest me without Tom even though I'm 100% behind Skiba singing these songs live. Definitely seems like something a ton of my friends would be interested in, and I bet anniversary shows would sell out in a heartbeat.

Just caught the Aoki video and while it'll likely be forgotten pretty quickly, that song has aged so well for me. What a jam. That smirnoff commercial at the end was so random. haha.

 

Also Mark replied to my Disneyland podcast account saying he was going to Disneyland today. I WAS THERE YESTERDAY, YOU FOOLISH MORTAL!

 

Idk I just don't have any urge to see Tom play those. I'm all for them being played in the right guitar tones, Matt singing the backing part of Adams Song's chorus, and not hearing the chorus of Dumpweed turned into one single long garbled drunken sounding word.

I wouldn't care if they skipped Aliens Exist though solely cause I'm sick of hearing about aliens lol
