The only big contract I can remember them giving out in FA over the last decade is Stephon Gilmore, and even though that might have been a bit of an overpay it's definitely not a bad deal

 

The last one that's really burned them, because Gillmore has worked out in my mind, is Adalius Thomas. That partnership just never got together.

Revis and Browner were def big gets for them.

That's probably why it broke yesterday that the Browns were now fully interested in trading Duke Johnson. haha

I'm interested in seeing what type of value the Browns could get for him. He's a pretty dynamic player and his remaining contract is 3 yrs/$13.8 million with the ability to free up some cap by cutting him after this year.

Wouldn't it be best they keep Duke around until Hunt comes back or the trading deadline whatever comes first.

They do but why run him into the ground.

 

Having Chubb and Duke on the team is more than enough to spell them until Hunt comes back. And yeah, maybe even trade one of them away for assets before the deadline.

 

It will never not make me want to puke when some news like this is announced and I see like, Matthew Berry tweet “won’t be able to appear until week nine, for fantasy purposes blah blah blah”

Stunned Hunt only got 8 games. Really thought NFL was about to set a major example.

Also, no thanks to trading Duke. Too valuable and by the time Hunt comes back, he'll have been out nearly an entire year. At least hold onto him until the deadline. Makes no sense to deal him now.
