    I always feel silly asking older people for their ID so they can buy alcohol but occasionally I’ll get people I thought were 40 and their ID says they’re 3 years older than me which makes me have a mild panic attack

    I don't know if I've told this story before, but you guys deserve it.

    So I'm at an airport, probably Dallas(?) and this guy comes up to me:
    Guy: Hey! I see you are wearing a Mononoke shirt... Are you coming from Anthrocon?
    Me, someone who is hugely interested in ANTHROPOLOGY: No, but that sounds like fun!
    Guy: Oh! You should check out these drawings I have, they are all for sale!
    Me, a guy who assumes it is going to be people or skeletons: Oh man! Sure!
    Guy who whips out a book of furry drawings: If you want the really raunchy stuff, go to the back.
    Me, a guy who just found out that it means anthropomorphic and not anthropology: I'm gonna head to the bathroom real quick.

    I think I was drinking and definitely puked a little.

    I spent $200+ tonight between a ticket, beer, and a shirt for fucking Fleetwood Mac. The show was wonderful and I'm so happy I went.
