Im moving to southern WA late summer. Maybe ill see you around Portland or Seattle shows. Ill be in Oakland for this one though.

What venues are the ones I should be looking at in WA and OR that have bands like this? (IE. Black, Death, Noise, Doom, War, Grind, gross shit, just extreme music in general)

 

Absolutely the Highline in Seattle, they pretty much only have metal shows there. I've seen Vektor, Demilich, Bell Witch, and Blood Incantation all headline there. Neumo's is good too, caught Power Trip there twice as well as Cannibal Corpse. Both of those venues are the ones that the NW Terror Fest is at and they're just outside the downtown area. And for the bigger stuff (like the Decibel Tour that just came through), those will be at the Showbox, one which is in the industrial district south of Seattle and the other is right in the middle of downtown.

I haven't been to any shows down in Portland tho

The Camel, eh? Didn't realize they had metal shows there. Guess they have to be held somewhere now that Strange Matter is closed.

 

Another band I did not realize was still around. Pretty good if you like your deathcore tunes straight out of 2007.

 

They broke up in like 2012 but got back together very recently

 

Did not know that. They were one of the few deathcore bands back from that era that had a bit of staying power. I'll probably give their new EP a listen when it comes out.

 

I was never that into deathcore, but they were one of the few that I was into

 

That is a name I haven’t heard in years. They had one song that was a MySpace profile song for a lot of hardcore/deathcore kids at my HS

 

A solid death metal album from last year that I missed by Mortal Wound.

 

I’ve remember seeing these guys posted in here before, but I finally checked them out today and really dug it.
