It's not a bad song but those lyrics are just... no bueno. Also sounded weird because it was mixed like a plastic-y pop-punk song even though it was the darkest on the album

 

by far my favorite song on that album. First time I heard it was when I was touching down in LAX for vacation which made it even cooler.

 

I also hope there's not back and forth vocals on every song again

 

I'd like to go back to 2003 and tell Blink-182 fans this sentence was typed about the band in 2019 and watch them riot.

I've come around to "Los Angeles" for the most part. I hate the verses, but the chorus has a cool energy to it (especially live) so I can't toootally hate on it like I did when I first heard it.

I love and miss Mark solo vocal songs

 

We got one last album, ‘Good Old Days’ has Matt only on backing vocals. Main vocals are pure Mark. It’s an odd man out in that cycle

 

What California song is Mark-only? I don’t remember Good Old Days or most deluxe songs so I wasn’t really counting them

 

the pattern just gets old. mark 1st verse, matt 2nd verse, alternating choruses, etc. just a couple songs with each of them carrying the main vocals while the other does harmonizing or something would be fine. just a couple of them.

 

Good Old Days is the only one, from the deluxe. California OG is dual vocal all the way through.



Besides Built This Pool And California (Matt only does backing vocals on California title track iirc)

 

He has a couple lines in the chorus of Cali too
