I love the deal. I think Vernon is a stud edge defender and he has no dead cap, so he could be cut easily. All of that isn't even a worry because the Browns are just adding $5 million this year and $3 million next year with the deal.

He's been okay, but this is definitely an improvement. Ogbah's contract is up after the year, so it's tough to say where they'll go with him. If they keep him around, this is great depth for our edge rushing.

He's still been great since signing with us. The Browns did it because they have Austin Corbett (2nd round pick last year) waiting in the wings. I'll trust them because I don't think Dorsey would've done it if they didn't have confidence in him.

I love it. Like I said above, I don't think they would make the move if they didn't trust Corbett taking over at RG. Improving and adding depth to our edge rush, while improving picks and hardly impacting our cap space? It's a good win for both teams.

We must really like a safety in the draft to outright cut Gipson. Didn’t save that much money - like why is Dareus still on the team

 

cutting Gipson saves them like $7 million

 

They must see one of the reserve guys as ready to go. I doubt they invest heavily in the draft.
