Meanwhile I book tours in 2 months and hope my budget sticks so I can legitimately afford it lolol

 

It's a nice distraction from the impending dooms of my NFL NBA and MLB teams

 

I don't have a college team to claim either so I only really start to pay attention to prospects about this time of year

 

I used to be an ohio state guy but I eventually stopped liking college football and also got annoyed by the collective OSU fandom

 

It's also the one sport where I choose to be insufferable and it's really fun

I didn’t go to a good school for football. UMD fuckin sucks at football lol. Stefon Diggs was the only good player while I was there.

Also, ex Jags receiver Keenan McCardell was the WR coach while I was there which is pretty cool.

 

My dad's an Aggie and my mom went to Georgia so I grew up around those allegiances which is why I've never really been big on either team

And I plan on going to Texas asap

 

College football is great (besides all the things that are bad about the NCAA) but I don’t know if I’d be into it if I didn’t go to a big school or have close family friends who indoctrined me into it since I was little

This is pretty much me. No collegiate connections for myself or anyone in my immediate family, so I didn't grow up around it and once I was old enough to really appreciate the NFL, the rules and quality of play of college football annoyed me so I never watch it.

 

Also I can’t root for the Steelers and then root for the only good Ohio football team. It’s already wrong enough

 

My thing is, I just feel like most college football teams have success because the other team fucked up lol

Football is a complicated sport. Takes a very high level of competition to not just have obvious holes on your defense or to have a QB who isn’t just... clueless how to be a QB lol. It’s the one sport where competition seems WILDLY skewed in favor of teams that can recruit and know exactly what they’re doing.

I hate games where the QB does nothing good the whole time and I hate games where the score is 63-61 because no one knows how to play defense. Stuff like that kinda makes it hard to maintain the integrity of college football’s true competitiveness haha.

I find college basketball & college baseball more entertaining cause it’s not as many amateur errors in a sport that requires less study.

 

My girlfriend's 9 year old chose to do a report on Freddie Mercury for his music class in school, he also gets to play a Queen song for his presentation, he asked me to help him pick a song and I'm honestly not sure what to pick. Any ideas ? This is a very proud moment for me because I know not a damn kid in his class knows who Freddie Murcury is.

 

Pitt is bad at football. They were very good at basketball when I was there and I will always have Scottie Reynolds going the distance to win the game in the elite 8 embedded in my brain.

College basketball > college football > college baseball IMO

And honestly the fact that the NFL feels so much more like college football than it used to is a factor of me being way more into college football now
