THERE YOU ARE (HIDING PLACE) definitely opens with a riff that could've been on an old mewithoutYou record.

 

What in the hell are you talking about?

 

The only thing this has in common with bro,sis is vaguely similar vocal stylings.

 

Mewithoutyou and La Dispute have been two of my favorite bands for years and I think, for me, the similarities between the two end at sub-genre. They both take pretty diffrent approaches to lyricism and even how the music ebbs and flows.

Seriously though, these mwY comparisons have just heightened my anticipation for this that much more.

This album is solid but it doesn't touch Wildlife and Rooms of the House.

 

I played both last night and I prefer this one. I Love the slow builds and I like the production style a lot more

Tbh tho Wildlife pales compared to the focused piece of art that is Rooms.
