Kendrick was excellent when I saw him at Trees during Section.80 and during the GKMC run but when he opened for Kanye I did not enjoy his set, he definitely wasn't ready for the astronomical growth from GKMC and didn't match that growth as a performer

J. Cole is so like...perfectly polished while also feeling like a fun as hell live show. I saw him twice and the second time it was just for like quality time with my sister when he was playing at her college (and I really didn't wanna see him that badly), and he just KILLED

 

I gotta get a BOCC ticket. Gotta make that happen

I don't do RTJ because Killer Mike is a 2nd Amendment guy

Jay-Z is incredible live but he's a creep so I don't really listen to him anymore

 

Also I know videos are bad evidence at all times but a perfect example is comparing the Meek Mill set opening the All Star Game (which was not very good but I love Meek) to J Cole's halftime performance (who sounded perfect even through video which is hard to believe)

 

Muse is easily one of the best performances I've seen and I'm really excited for this new tour even if I'm not crazy about their more recent output

 

He's a problematic favorite of mine and yeah he's perfect live too

 

Now I really want to listen to Nsync

 

I feel like a lot of people feel that way and you know I'm not judging you

 

lol i tried to get my friend to buy it cause she has a online vintage shop but she said it was no good cause its like that kind of thing where you wash it and all that pressings gonna fall off. idk if it was handmade or official merch but if it was official merch itd be sick.

Maybe it's hindsight but looking back at Kanye sets I feel like he's never really been that good as a performer and I just hyped him up in my head cuz of how "artsy" he is haha

Watch The Throne was a super clear example of it because Jay-Z wiped the floor with him

But the artsy aspects of his tours have always been amazing. He just hasn't always been that good at the performance part

 

Haha it might be that way with me too, I have a fondness for that Yeezus tour but it may not have been as good as I remember. I was pretty blown away by the theatrics of all of it

But for real I wore my child XL Backstreet Boys shirt until I was like 20. And something like that I would even save for my hypothetical future child heh

 

I saw Jay-Z and Kendrick both in like 2012 and thought they were both good, but with the passing of time I don't remember specifics

 

Looking back I feel like we as a society have dealt J Cole a shit hand in the world of hip hop all because of how white people give J Cole way too much reverence but he really is good even if he's corny as fuck at times

 

I have a Midtown shirt that I've been saving for my babies, but because of unforeseen issues, I will be giving it to my nephew.

I saw the TLOP tour 2 days in a row to see that stage from different angles and holy shit being at that show in the pit might have been the best day of my life

 

I never really got into him, despite liking a little of what I've heard of him. The gatekeepers made him out to be lame plus I am lazy about listening sometimes

 

Yeah I think it all stems from the fact that so many people who love J. Cole are people who try to be like "I only listen to REAL rap" and "check out how deep he is" and all this lame shit
