They said they're putting out the single this Spring, so they'll probably announce their new album either when the tour is announced tomorrow, or right before the tour starts.

Ahh perfect. I went to Bane's last show there so I expect this to be a similar experience. Don't generally like making the drive out to Worcester but it's always good for a solid hardcore show.

So I did the math of all the US Venues these bands hit on their last headliners, and I think it would be plausible for it to be a coheadliner given I Prevail's sudden hiatus & the anticipated success of Issues new album, but I'm not sure.

    I Prevail

    Shared Venues: 5

    TL;DR
Issues averaged 1,402 capacity venues while I Prevail did 1,591. This gap narrows to 1,675 to 1,854 respectively when only looking at the 20 markets both bands played on their last headliners, 5 of which were at the same venue. That seems to warrant a coheadliner status imo.

Yeah but I prevail sold em all out and issues didn’t sell any out

Would associate that with the supporting acts that I, Prevail had (WCAR, TWA, & Escape the Fate) vs Issues who had (Volumes, Too Close To Touch, & Sylar)

I Prevail is averaging close to 1,290,000 monthly listens on Spotify. Issues is averaging 321,000. And that's rounding down for I Prevail and up for Issues. Also as someone else pointed out it matters more that I Prevail sold out their headlining dates more than Issues did. I mean believe me I want a longer Issues set too, but the facts are against them on this.

P.S.: Brooklyn Bowl Vegas is 2400 capacity, not 600.

One thing i find weird about I prevail is what shows sold well, they're one of those bands that don't draw as well in the "cool" cities ( 1100 in philly, 900 in new york) but sell out venues in Norfolk and stroudsburg frequently. Issues is no doubt the smaller band though, they fell off pretty hard in the past year.

Well I suppose they gotta figure out if they can actually do this, it may very well end up being their last show ever.

I agree, any booking agent is going to push packages with a band headlining that has sold out bigger rooms recently, I’m not a fan but you can’t deny IP had an amazing album cycle last go round. They packed huge rooms and sold a lot of records. Issues fell off with that second record.

    Edit:
I would love to see someone with a pollstar account look at the compareasons.

To add to the Issues/IP debate

IP sold out the Charlotte show with 956 cap.
Issues got about 800 for the 2000 cap show in Raleigh. I was at both shows. IP was much more enjoyable.
