They just did an ampitheater tour in the summer and the tickets for this are pretty pricey. They know what they're doing, though. If 3 weeks out sales are still slugish they'll just throw a lot of the upper deck tickets on groupon.

I cannot believe a band that has been around for 25 years and has 12 studio albums is playing 5 cover songs in a 19 song set.

More than 25% of their set is covers. Absolutely infuriating.

 

Not thrilled with the large amount of cover songs, but damn, TWHTALMH is my favorite Weezer song... Tempted to make the trek to Vegas for the tour now. That’s the closest date to me

 

They typically change up the first encore song every night

 

Am I misreading, or are there no Black Album songs on there? Odd considering this tour is to promote that album.

EDIT: Ah now I see this was from almost 3 weeks ago. Not a part of the tour starting this weekend.

 

ngl the arena tour seems to be selling terribly.

 

A lot of tickets for the Vegas show are still on sale. Honestly I think they're asking for too much. But I've also never seen Weezer or The Pixies so maybe the show is more than worth the asking price.

 

The Madison Square Garden show seems to be selling ok. With 2 more weeks to go it'll probably sell out day of.
I think what's hurting this tour is the high ticket prices. They should really do a groupon deal for most of these dates.

MSG has actually been on Groupon for a few weeks. The prices there are cheap enough that I'd go if it were a better date.

 

If Foxwoods (or whatever the CT one is) had a groupon, perhaps Id consider this show.

PS: Love how they are playing Teal songs in the sets, but not any of The Black Album, haha. Such a =w= thing to do!

Wasn't part of the tour. Based on the venue, I'd imagine they were just booked for some corporate event. Hence the lack of Black Album tracks and all the cover songs.

I said it before, and I’ll say it again, too many covers, but then playing TWHTALMH is almost enough to get me to go to the Vegas show

 

I mean, they have TWELVE studio albums and they’re playing only 15 of their own songs. What the fuck?

25 years into their career they should be playing at minimum 25-30 songs. It’s not like their songs are long either.
