it's perfect, love how the cast is pretty much specifically tuned to appeal to me (drew tarver, molly shannon, wanda sykes and ken marino).

i did watch russian doll and loved it, forgot about that, i'll eventually get around to the last season of kimmy. TOO MUCH TV.

i've been almost entirely checked out for a long while now and if i do it's just thrown on in the background while i read or play switch or something. i did check out last week after the news about the nxt guys showing up popped up before raw, then stuck around to SDL for those guys too. there are so many potential matches i want to see with those four guys so they alone might get me a little more interested for a bit.

 

I do the same exact thing. The NXT call ups are definitely interesting, it seems like they are shifting what NXT is to the whole company, which can be good or terrible. At least its something different and that makes me wanna watch for a change.

 

I respect any woman's right to choose how to live her life but my uterus is literally shriveling up at the idea of childbirth and that many children so soon.

yeah, the long touted "nxt as a true third brand" seems to slowly be coming into focus. the thing that fascinates me the most going forward is how they handle a storyline on both the main roster and nxt with gargano/ciampa. will they ignore it? play out similarly and simultaneously? redo the original story? of course there's going to be lots of issues with booking, that comes with the vince territory, but hell, a new gargano or ricochet match every week is going to at least get me to pay attention somewhat.

 

I have several friends who just had their first kid, and they are of course over the moon happy about it but they also tell me how taxing it is in every conceivable way. I couldnt imagine having THREE at the same time.

Yeah i'm not sure if you saw the NXT spoilers but Gargano fuckin turned on Ciampa! Or I think they even kinda turned on each other. I suppose technically that doesn't happen for a few weeks though so they will address it when that episode premieres?

holy shit what a weekend.


So basically visited Kaitie this weekend. My flight was originally scheduled to depart at 7:45 and get in at 10:45pm. It started heavily snowing as soon as I left work on Friday to head to the airport and I got a notification saying my flight was delayed to 9:45pm now.

I get to the shuttle parking and get picked up by the bus. The driver is like this 90 year old man with giant ass bifocals and the window defrosters weren't working so one passenger had to wipe down the windshield like every two minutes. It took over half an hour for us to get 1 mile from the parking lot to the terminal.

It was national margarita day so I made a quick stop at one of the airport restaurants and got some tacos and two margs because I was in the holiday spirit.....get it...holiday.......spirit.

Anyway, I scarf those down and get to my gate and it's like 5 minutes until we're scheduled to board the plane and then everyone at the gate gets a text on their phone saying the flight is delayed again until 10:45pm. And then immediately get another text saying it's delayed until 12:45AM. And then immediately another saying our gate is changed to two gates down. So we all start to get our shit and walk down to the gate and get in our seats and then once we get to the new gate we all get a text saying our flight is delayed until 7:45AM the next morning. People are pissed. Other flights are still coming in and going out despite the snow.

So we all start getting in line at customer service. At this point it's like 11pm and then we get another text saying our flight is delayed until 1:15pm. I've been texting kaitie letting her know of the changes and she finally calls her dad who works for American and he finds two flights that'll get me to Dallas over night. A redeye flight at 1 AM that goes to Charlotte NC and then had a connection from there to Dallas and i'd get in at like 9AM.

I get up to the counter after waiting in line for an hour and ask them to get me the two flights kaitie's dad told me about. They get me my tickets and I go sit at my gate. I fell asleep and the last people boarding the plane had to shake me awake so I wouldn't miss my flight (again) and thankfully they did so because I was out like a rock. I get on the plane and pass out again.

I wake up on the descent and find out our flight is running late and that almost everyone on the plane has an immediate connecting flight. People are pissed off and as soon as the plane lands people are yelling at each other and trying to get off and being rude af. Once the plane docks it's just a mad dash sprint of everyone trying to get to their gates.

I sprint to mine and see there's like 4 people still boarding so I think I'm good. I get in line and they FUCKING CLOSE THE DOOR ON ME and say they gave away my seat because I wasn't on time. They make me go down to customer service and get another flight to dallas. Almost everyone else on the same flight from denver had the same thing happen so there's a long ass line of people just fuming and yelling at the customer service agents, which sucks because it's not their fault.

I get up, ask nicely for the next available flight and they get me my ticket and I sit at my gate, board the plane, and get into Dallas.

By the time Kaitie picks me up from the airport and we get to her apartment and I shower after spending 12 hours in various airports and airplanes, it's time for us to leave to go meet her parents.

They took us out to a hockey game and then to dinner with her brother and sister in law and they were all the nicest people ever so it's a surprise that they're related to @thesoftskeleton .

 

I think all the time about how my mom had 3 of us by 31 and I am 30 with no kids and more interest in video games and shit posting on this website. Totally different worlds.

I imagine it's something along the lines of "my flight got delayed a bunch"

 

the problem with that is that a turn means nothing right now on the main roster - from the standpoint of someone who was just introduced to these guys a week ago, we were told they have a questionable past with each other so why should we care if they break up again after let's say a month? there isn't that long history or the knowledge that they're the best of friends slowly being broken by heartbreaking losses, the commentary makes it seem like they could turn on each other at any time so when they do it won't be particularly surprising. i don't know, we'll see.
