Yeah I’m not getting my hopes up, I wonder who it is though

 

I mean I know Katy Perry is highly unlikely but given that her new album wasn’t received well I have a small glimmer of hope it could be her which will basically guarantee my fiancé wants to make the long trek to one of the fests which is fine by me.

 

I hope somebody on Reddit takes this post and runs with it as an actual rumor. The power the fucking around in that thread had last year over the speculation in the Riot Fest subreddit still blows my mind.

 

I don't why this idea just popped in my head, but I bet Angels and Airwaves plays this. At least the Cali date.

 

Based on that tweet it could be pretty much any band that played Warped Tour in the past that Kevin liked. That's a lot of bands.

 

Will The Ghost Inside play? They were promised a spot and just announced their first show back

 

Not necessarily “any” he said he reconnected with them so it’s safe to assume it’s not someone that has played recently or someone we can assume he has regular contact with.

 

I think that would take away from that massive show they just announced

 

Can't deny Sugar Ray weren't what the tour was looking for at that time. Mark made a post last year thanking the tour for being apart of it.

You never know. At the Toronto date last year, 3OH3! were gonna fly her out for the performance, but she didn't want to. (This was confirmed on stage by the group itself).

 

I will put money it is a really old ska or punk band that no one has listened to in ages. I wouldent mind.

This is more than likely a joke. People would probably be upset if they used it being the last cross country tour to sell more tickets and then have Kevin be like "lol just kidding".

It’s 100% a joke for this year as far as finding “39 cities” in between the 3 dates but if it is more work than anticipated and Kevin misses it I can definitely see it coming back next year. Is anyone really gonna be upset that they bought a ticket in 2017 thinking it was the last warped to have Kevin start it back up in 2019? I doubt it’ll be many and those that see it is a money grab aren’t the core Warped audience anyway. I see it no differently then when bands go on a Farewell tour just to announce a reunion tour a few years later. The core fan base isn’t upset, they’re happy the band is playing again. It’ll be the same with Warped if it happens.
