The new Robert Ellis album is excellent.

It’s a lot of fun. Some of the lyrics are kind of silly at times, but I’m ok with that. Very catchy batch of songs.

I always wish there was more piano in music nowadays, especially country, so it really does hit the right spot for me.

I listened to the new Ryan Bingham album on my drive in to work today. I really wasn't feeling the first three songs, but after that I settled in and enjoyed the entire rest of the album... I can't wait to listen to it again to see if it just took me that many songs to sync up with what he was doing or if I really don't like them as much as the rest of the album.

  5. I have been listening to Catherine McGrath so much this weekend. Such a solid album!

Jesus, this song is incredible, and so, so heartbreaking.

I like the new Sean McConnell album, although I think there's a dip in quality in the middle section. There's a good 3 or 4 songs in the middle that I end up kind of tuning out before it pulls me back in at Greetings from Niagara Falls.

I actually dig "Alien" and "The Devil's Ball" a lot. I think he had some cool songwriting ideas on those. My favorite song by a lot is the closer, though.

Maybe dip in quality was harsh. I've listened to this like 3 or 4 times and for some reason I have pretty much zoned out in that middle section every time, I don't know why that is.

    Slow down, Quentin Supporter

I don't disagree. It's a strong group of songs, but I think it's a little too over-saturated. If he'd cut 2-3 of the weaker tracks I think the album would have jumped from 'strong' to 'fantastic.' As it is now, while I like it, it more excites me for what he does next.

    I think God's a painter

I jammed to this a lot last summer when it came out. makes me so happy. I honestly think the choruses to Wild and Good Goodbyes are some of the catchiest things I've heard

even with your description I had no idea what I was signing up for. rare for a song to reduce me to stunned haunted silence

The new The Steel Woods album ‘Old News’ is really great. A step up from the last album imo

I really enjoyed it. She's a dead ringer for a young Patty Griffin.

Obviously The Dress is a standout, Run was similarly thematically heavy but great
