Okay the pictures suck because the lighting was bad, but just had a great meal at a place called Butcher Bar in Philly. We shared some small plates. Pretzel bread with cheese and mustard, bone marrow with parmesan, Italian meatballs, and duck confit wings.

I used to go to this place for breakfast burritos because it was a steal there for $4.25.

They’ve now raised the price to $6 and I’m just like nah I’ll go somewhere else.

I had a bison burger tonight for the first time. It was ok. Honestly didn’t particularly care for it but not enough to not eat it or anything. Just probably wouldn’t get it again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I need to do a side by side taster of bison vs beef one day because I can never really tell the difference.

 

Yeah I didn’t think it tasted all that different. But just certainly not better.
I’m also not a huge fan of restaurant burgers typically.

 

My mom is staying the night at my apt and said she'd bring dinner but ok it's 7:23 and I'm hungry af!! She just text me to ask if I have salad dressing like sis ur still at the store??? Is this an episode of Frasier where everyone eats at 9pm???

I also didn't eat much today cause I misplaced my wallet during my lunch break so I had to spend the whole dumb thing looking for it. Spoiler alert: it was in the couch cushions.

 

Also I used the hello fresh coupon so u get three weeks of meals for $20 off each week. It's too expensive to do all the time but I rly enjoyed when I did it last summer so I'm hyped. My first out of three weeks is arriving tomorrow and it is pasta parmesan, grilled cheese and veggie jumble, and veggie burrito bowls. We'll see how I do lol. Lately I'm eating mostly healthy snack foods throughout the day that require little or notnpreparation, like almonds and fruits and baby carrots and hard boiled eggs and yogurt, and then a lazy dinner like toast or cereal so I'm gonna have to put in some effort now

 

Update I got pretty sick in the middle of the night and I have no choice but to blame it on the bison

 

i made soup dumplings over the weekend. not quite lucky 18 pleats but this was the nicest looking one out of the 40 lol
