It's going to have to be really something to compete with what Disney is doing with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I was in Disney World in December, you can see the construction for it going on from over the back wall of Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. It's going to be amazing.

Hopefully Universal is putting as much effort into Nintendo as they did with Harry Potter. The Theme Park Arms Race is really heating up lol

 

Fortunately Nintendo has simplicity and lots of color. You don't need the rock/mountains from GE, or the leaning buildings, dark alleys, etc. from Potter.

 

I just hope Universal doesn't mess this up with screen based attractions. If I wanted to look at Nintendo on a screen I would play Nintendo.

 

a month ago, i had no games to play. but now i have AC Odyssey, Anthem, Far Cry New Dawn and the division 2 is coming out soon... what the hell

 

I'm just biding my time until Anthem launches. I have a bunch of backlog stuff I could play, but nothing that I'd finish before Friday, so I'm mostly just playing Apex Legends and waiting.

 

every theme park podcast I listen to is just constant will universe use screens on future Harry Potter/Nintendo stuff and that makes me sad.

why did they have to make that fast and furious ride a thing

Not to derail the thread but yeah the re-use of ride setups and the overuse of screens in Universal and Islands of Adventure is so sad. FF is the same as Kong, Transformers is the same as Spider-man (even has the same cart!), etc. It's weird. I hope the Mario Kart ride isn't like that.
