What sucks is that they kick out the BTD VIP it seems...well doesnt suck for me cause I bought seat tickets...but for the Pit people it sucks.

PS: doesn't the "actual tour" start in mid July? And everything leading up to those shows are more or less festival type shows?

I'm telling ya, the dude is coming back eventually. We can't keep Skiba forever.

They're going to do this album, he's going to thin out some of his obligations, and he's going to do the next record. And we're all going to be sad.

 

Oh God, are we going to do this again... There is zero point to speculating. I'm just enjoying the lineup they have now. I really can't picture them trying to work with him again on any regular basis like recording. Whether he has shares or whatnot, I'm sure he probably does, he started the band. He's gonna make plenty of money from blink not even being in it. As long as Skiba wants to do it, I'm sure they'll keep him easily. No brainer.

 

I also enjoy the lineup they have now, but it doesn't mean it's sticking around. Toms been way too casual about everything. He knows he's coming back and so do they, but you don't talk about that shit when you have an album with the new guy coming out.

It might be a no brainer to you, but you don't have shares in the blink camp or the relationships they have. I'll be floored if Skiba makes another album with them.

 

I do wonder if Tom were to rejoin (not saying it's likely) if they'd play any songs from California live. I kinda doubt it though.

I mean he's flaked on them time and time again, both with playing shows and making studio time. If they have good relationships, maybe that's because they don't have the band stuff in the way? I mean I'm speculating as much as anybody saying that because Tom's quiet, he'll be back any day? Watching a set just means things are good between them. Which Travis has said as much. Do I think Tom will be on a stage with Mark and Travis at some point? 100%.

I just have no desire to think about a future where Tom is back cause I flat out won't like that lol.

 

I agree with the dislike, which I'm sure will grow once I get this record in my ears. Obviously, I have no credible insight. Just a feeling.
