Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

I like “Who Are You Anyway?” But I do remember them posting studio footage of Adam dancing to a demo of that song and thinking “oh wow, this song is gonna rule!” Then when I heard it, the drum pattern sounded totally different and i remember thinking “eh, this isn’t as great as thought it was gonna be”. But over time I grew to love it

lol that's demos for ya. I go through that with every song I've ever written. the final version always feels off until it doesn't.

Of the two though, Stood A Chance is a better song and the album needed more of an “upbeat” sounding single compared to Flicker Fade and Better Homes and Gardens.

What's everyone's favorite song(s) from each album respectively? Mine are probably

    - Ghost Man on Third
    - One-Eighty By Summer (The Union is a pretty close 2nd)
    - Spin (I'll Let You live is also a close one..)
    - Carpathia or EMG
    - Either Money or Call Me In The Morning
    - Beat Up Car? They Don't Have Any Friends? Better Homes and Gardens? We Were Younger Then? Idk, they're all pretty great
    - Homecoming and You Can't Look Back

Disagree, Stood a Chance and Flicker Fade are my most skipped songs on there haha

Flicker Fade sounds like someone produced it totally separately from the rest of the album to me. Idk, it doesn't fit very well

Woah, what song is All Ready to Go? Literally have never heard this one, guessing it's a b-side?

    EDIT

I've never heard of A Song For Dan either. Wow I'm behind heh. I reaally like this one. Not huge into All Ready To Go though

We Were Younger Then is the best song since the reunion and probably a top 3 TBS song

I really like how All Excess sounds overall but the "Oh yeah oh yeah alright. I felt dirty and I didn't know why" line just makes me cringe for some reason. The rest of it is a very solid track

All The Way is a home run of a song, honestly. I remember hearing that song for the first time and thinking “wow, okay I’m fully on board with this album now”

Haha right? I didn't think Happiness Is would be so hard to nail down a favorite until I started scrolling through it

You have some really solid choices there aside from Little Devotional and Falling

It’s a real shame they’ve never played it before. That song would be a hell of a main set closer before the encore

Forgot about Timberwolves, that was my favorite song for a very long time. My friend and I actually made a really shitty band that lasted like 2 days called Timberwolves back in highschool lol.

Gotta say this is the best and most fun thread on this site. Always engaging talk with no hyperbole and always civil even though opinions are 180 from eachother. Just had to shout it out.

Now back to how New Again is better than TAYF and Louder Now.

  20. Haha I’ll give it another try. I literally haven’t listened to it since the week it was released, but honestly probably not since release day...

I think it only says good things about a band when people's favorites and dislikes range so wildly

  24. I listened to a few TW songs walking to and back from the post office just now. Got 4 songs in. “Death Wolf” is cool. By the 4th track I realized why I never come back to this... sorry guys. I only like the first half of this band’s discography, and then some later songs here and there.

First 4 are def the best off that album, so if those didn't grab you I agree there's no chance in going on.
