I bought the soundcheck only VIP for my date, and the ticket was around $150 after all the fees. The first meet and greet package came out to around $225, and the most expensive was around $525.

 

Oh. Well I'm going to have to agree with the sentiment that that's pretty lame. Here's to hoping that early entry is the same time/first come for all the VIP packages or else I paid nearly $100 extra for a ticket for no reason.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with the VIP descriptions I have read as well. I probably would not have bought it if I knew.

 

I bought the Soundcheck VIP for the first Vegas show... don't really care about the early entry - will definitely want to exit the venue to get a few reasonably priced drinks before blink's set.

 

I got the everything's going to be fine package. Wonder what mine entails?

I have heard that you will get about 5 minutes total with the band. Then they leave, and you can hang out in the VIP dressing room without them for a while. You'll get first access back into the venue to guarantee spots against the barricade in the pit.

 

That last part makes it worth it for me. I am like 5'4", so being up on the barracade guaranteed is a bonus for me to avoid tall people lol

It literally just says "photo with the band" and nothing about autographs, hanging out for hours, etc. I don't get what people are complaining about. They are literally getting what they paid for.

Which is why I didn't even hesitate to pass that up.

 

This is exactly why I wanted early entry and knowing I'm not even going to get that much is a piss in my cornflakes. I know not all the VIP's were GA and I'm hoping they didn't sell a ton of them and I still at least have a shot at barricade. I'm so upset right now.

 

I got it as a gift. I had the bare minimum for seated entry set aside, ya know close seats but not too pricey under 175. My boss of 5 years knew they were my favorite band and wanted to thank me for always going out of my way to help the business and him and coworkers so he bought me the VIP package for me and my gf as a thank you. Never done VIP or met anyone from a band I like especially blink so I'm psyched

 

Shortness is such a curse

I'm paying hotel and traveling expenses on top of this too. I love Matt and want to support artists I love, but this has pretty much guaranteed this is the first and last time I see Blink-182, at least at a show of their own. Xgames was cool because you get in line, you go in the order you lined up. Easy peasy. And I didn't have to pay nearly double the ticket price for the CHANCE to do it. It's not even that I mind spending the money or going through the trouble because I do the same for Trio all the time, but the way this is run is clearly not for me.

 

I got lucky, they're playing in my city which is actually super rare I generally have to drive 3.5 hours to Atlanta and then drive home after(I'm too cheap for hotel lol). But I feel your pain, I normally would not ever spend more then $100 on a concert. Ever. But with it being Blink-182, that is the only band I ever splurge on

When I went to some unrelated zoo concerts and outdoor cinema they conviscated the ones with legs

 

Only downside of them letting you in that early to get a spot against the baracade....if you have to use the bathroom you are screwed lol.

Side note I remember them putting up a picture of a bored to death shirt with a grim reaper design. Think that'll be your merch or VIP merch?

 

I am pretty sure the VIP merch is a handbag with the California album art on it....oh and a sticker

I'm hoping the show I'm going to on Thursday will have some deep cuts. 3,000 person room. If they're going to play deep cuts, it's gotta happen then, right?!

What if he really was trying and he's just a bad performer by nature?

Engineers must hate tracking his vocals in the studio. That being said, Critter was awesome.
