No idea what the first part means gonna have to dumb that down for me.

I think I'm gonna follow my instincts and say fuck all the middling reviews, Mirrors Edge is my next priority. Then it's either between Doom or Overwatch. I need another good competitive game, but as a hardcore Halo player the style of Doom calls to me way more than Overwatch.

 

Overwatch's MP is much better than doom (This is coming from a fan of arena shooters), but DOOM's SP is worth the price of admission and is good enough alone to catapult DOOM into the GOTY conversation for me.

Hacknet is such a fun little game, busting open ports and breaking into more and more secure systems is rewarding. (not to mention discovering all the easter eggs found on various machines), also love that you have to branch out from using the base executables to get into every machine (for example, reading emails is a key part of finding out passwords for larger systems such as Nortrons)

They get hacker culture and parody to it an extent (with 4chan boards/hacker group proxies, etc)

I can't recommend it enough at 10 bucks, and hell you even get basic linux command line knowledge out of it.

 

Oh no Austin Walker is leaving Giant Bomb for some project.

Man, I'm going to miss his perspective so much.

 

Are there any good gaming podcasts you guys can recommend?

 

I've been listening a lot to the Videogamer.com podcast recently. Scratching an itch I've had since The Indoor Kids stopped. Very funny, good summery of news and opinions.

Awesome I'll check out both, I've got podcasts which cover all my other interest just never got into a Gaming one.

 

Let me know if you figure it out because this actually started happening to me like last week. It's not happening frequently, just every now and then while I play Overwatch my controller falls way behind for like 10 seconds and then it works itself out.

 

I went to sleep right before this was announced on the stream last night, such a bummer to wake up to. He had such great chemistry with the GBEast guys :(

 

My favorite gaming podcasts are IGN Beyond (don't let the IGN name away you, it's fun and engaging—I was surprised how much I enjoy it), Kotaku Splitscreen, and Giant Bombcast (which is great, but I rarely find the time to finish it in one session because it's long)

 

Yeah, this is my first E3 since listening to giant bomb and I'm like "oh ok I guess I have 10 hours of content to listen to now" lol.

 

PS I Love You XOXO, Kinda Funny Gamescast, The Patch, and Beyond! are currently in my rotation.

 

Bomb/Beastcast are the only two video game podcasts I listen to, mostly because I already listen to at least a half dozen comedy podcasts regularly and there's only so much time in a day.

 

I think Colin Moriarty might be my least favorite person in gaming, so I have a really hard time listening to Kinda Funny

 

Dead Rising 4 is a 1 year console exclusive to XB1 and 90 exclusive to the W10 Store.

 

Mine does it for longer, like a good few minutes and then it starts to get better. I tried restarting, shutting down and turning back on, closing app and reopening, still didn't work. Finally just caught up after I waited a while. 2nd time it's happened and it's annoying. It affected Spotify and movement on the dashboard as well.

 

This is happening and it's pretty cool to watch.

also I only listen to one gaming podcast and that's The Patch. I could be interested in some gaming podcasts since its summer and hockey has slowed down.

 

Listening to Colin on PSILOVEYOUXOXO talk about DOOM really has my interest now. I feel like I line up with his taste on SP shooters fairly well.
