Got these 2 for about $20 total at Newbury today - the clearance bins there can sometimes have some great finds!!

 

Has anyone ever had an instance where the hole in the middle is too small for your turntable?? I would have to push it down to get it on the platter and it sounds warped :(

Any chance you'd go back there and get me that Teenage Wrist album? Been meaning to pick it up. As for the hole issue, if you work it onto the needle a couple times, it'll start getting it on there better

I would have no problem doing that for you except this was the only copy they had! I'll keep an eye out for it and if I happen to come across it again in there I'll let you know.

 

Other than that, I've heard of people taking an exacto blade VERY lightly to the edge of the hole to make it slightly larger. Would only recommend this if you have steady hands.

My U-Turn got here today and I broke it in with Threads by Now, Now. One of my absolute favorite albums of all time. I’m so happy I went with the walnut, it looks so much better in person. Next purchase will be new speakers.

Just setup my first record player. Pro-ject primary with Roth VA4 speakers. So pleased with the overall sound but a bit cracklily in places. Is this normal?
