Also re: grinders get a Space Case if you’re looking to get something nice. They’re expensive but they last a fucking long time. just got the 4-piece and I’m having Kief atop every bowl. Damn I phrased that really weird.

Try taking a toothbrush to your grinder/screen, seriously does wonders for cleaning them and getting the keef out.

 

Clean your grinder like your pieces, salt and Isopropyl alcohol do wonders, plus the toothbrush as said above.

 

Fuck I need to clean my bong so badly I’m gonna do it today. Been putting it off for way too long but it’s fucking huge and really hard to clean.

 

I got a bag of what smells like Pure Kush yesterday. Can't wait to smoke more of it tonight. For some reason I can usually tell when it's this strain by the smell alone, haha. Very distinct smell.

 

I don't really clean my bongs anymore because my kitchen sink is so close to the apartment door that I don't want the entire floor to reek of resin. Getting pretty gross though, I should just take the risk.

I got to the point where I just got rid of my old one and got a new one lol. I use glass screens now so I never get any ash or bud falling in, though, which makes a huge difference.

One surefire way to get it completely clean is to break up a Finish dishwasher tablet and put it inside the tube. Then just continuously pour boiling water into it. No need to even shake it, but sometimes letting it sit a little to breakdown before pouring more boiling water helps, too. You can even drop your slide into the tube if you want to get that clean without any extra work. Just make sure you plug up the joint where the downstem goes into, Res Caps are great. Or just cut up a rubber glove and rubber band it.

 

Glass screens are ESSENTIAL

 

The only annoying part is cleaning them off in between packs to avoid clogging. Unless you swap em out every time you pack a new bowl which gets wasteful. But I find them to be totally worth it regardless.

 

Yeah I’ll scrape mine off every few packs. I don’t really mind doing it. I was using the brass ones before because most of my bowls always had a large hole. I’ll never go back.

 

I bought 100 glass daisies for like $5 in Denver a few years ago. I'd just put the used ones into a shot glass and replace it with a clean one. Whenever I got low on clean ones I just would clean the dirty pile with alcohol and put them back into the clean pile. It was a great system for a while until I lost them while moving.

 

I use a toothbrush to gently brush out the clogged screen and it works really really well

Oh wow so you don't even take it out of the slide/bowl when you do that? Definitely less gross than what I currently do. I pry it out onto a paper towel and just kind of pick and scrape the resin off with my fingernails under the paper towel. But sometimes the paper towel rips and you get resin on your fingers.

Ohh you're probably talking about a kief screen in the grinder and not a glass daisy screen lol.

yeah definitely talkin' about the kief screen, hahah. You should just dampen a paper towel with alcohol and rub it on your bowl, that would prolly be easier and less messy

 

good idea I'm gonna have to give that a shot. That should prevent the slide from getting caked full of resin too

 

My tolerance has now hit an all time high. A couple months ago I started buying shatter/wax, and it seemed to be saving me money since I wasn’t nearly smoking as much/often due to the potency, but I went from a G a week to 3.

Anywho, not gonna worry about cutting back on a Friday, I’ll save that for Sunday night!

I put a guitar pick in my Sharpstone. I also have two grinders full of keef and no idea what to do with it haha.

What’s everyone prefer? Indica, Sativa, Hybrids?

Can’t lie, I’m partial to Indica’s. Sativa’s can kick my anxiety up even more so I try to stay away.
