It’s bad that I walked to my dumpster to take out trash and thought to myself, “it’s actually not that bad out.”

Just make sure Jacob doesn't show up and overhear you talking about how you secretly love republicans

I was like that after the first polar vortex early last week (or was it two weeks ago?)....it got down to like 6 degrees here, but then the next day it was like 26 degrees and I was like “oh it’s not too bad today!”

Good walls make good neighbors was my one takeaway from “Home Improvement.”

I assume this is a permutation of the phrase "good fences make good neighbors", a line from the Robert Frost poem "Mending Wall". It's actually the opposite meaning of what the original poet intended... the opening line of the poem is actually "Something there is that doesn't love a wall" and goes on to describe the narrator's attempts to talk his neighbor out of putting one up.

I learned this in a poetry class in college and am convinced it's further proof of that we're in a simulation.

To be fair... the Dow is not the market. It is only a (bad) index of 30 companies. The S&P 500 is a better index and it is down over the same period.
