I don’t think she’s a terrible wrestler but I don’t think she’s as good as others see her.

I’ve always been put off by her attitude long before she came into WWE. As an MMA fan, her rise in Strikeforce and then into the UFC was absolutely ridiculous (in a good way). But I think a lot of her true colors showed as her career went on. She’s had some comments towards certain topics that were just fucking stupid and she’s been surrounded by yes men her entire life. It’s the reason her MMA career flattened out and eventually came to an end.

And she’s married to a fucking turd. But outside of that, she’s alright.

Back on the Nia thing, what I found most weird is that they had Ortin get physical with her. Dude already has a scummy reputation. It’s doesnt seem like a big leap to think he would attack a woman. (Not saying Orton actually beats women). But even more weird is the baby face Rey doing it too

i think Ronda’s average performance in the ring dwarfs that of Becky who we all adore. Becky obviously eclipses Ronda in character work and charisma. i think Ronda has 100% delivered as a great pro wrestler. it’s who she is in real life that i can’t stand

 

Yeah, and that's fair, but it's unfair to not give someone you don't personally like the credit she deserves because you simply dislike her.


Ronda isn't top tier like Sasha/Charlotte/Asuka but I'd put her a tier under that. With plenty below her.

I’m not really a fan of Ronda, but I haven’t watched that many of her matches, so I can’t really say I’m anything of her! But the Banks match last night was my favourite of the night.

 

I'm no Ronda fanboy at all btw, I wanted Sasha to win so bad last night.

 

The Becky/Asuka match was a significant step up from Ronda/Sasha, which had some really sloppy moments. I even think the Becky/Asuka finish sequence of trading submissions was better than what Ronda/Sasha did.

But it was still a solid match, and if thats the floor for Ronda matches with good workers, its a pretty solid place to be.

 

Average =/= bad.

 

I just find most Ronda matches to be real sloppy. Is she better than I ever thought she would be at this point in her career? Yes. Do I think she is above average or anywhere near as good as where she should be? Not in the least.

 

Also, Im glad that when Ronda did her version of hulking up (when she gets that angry face and the camera zooms close), Sasha countered and the match went another few minutes. She destroyed Alexa/Nia/Mickie like that, and its good for them to show Ronda isnt way above everyone

 

What kind of expectations do you set for someone that has only been training/working for a year and a half?

 

Compared to the SD match Rondas match definitely had higher highs, but also much lower lows. Comparing it to that is very different from saying it was boring or it sucked though.

 

For them to still be at the PC/in NXT.

 

She puts on better matches than well over half the womens roster dude

This is the first thing you've said that I agree with.

 

i like Ronda/Sasha more by a lot. the submissions looked snug, the strikes looked good, and their mannerisms sold a personal fight on like two weeks of build. Asuka/Becky was very good but by the end was very finisher reversal/finisher steal/finisher reversal/finisher steal WWE stuff

i really can think of maybe three great Becky matches, but that’s okay because she is the total package and super delivers in many other departments. she is absolutely my fav overall female performer in the company. but i do think Ronda is a couple notches above her in the ring. Becky is nowhere near the athlete Ronda is.

 

genuinely curious how many main roster women you think outwrestle Ronda. i would be shocked if it were more than 25%. in terms of her peers, she is absolutely above average.

 

Yup I liked Ronda/Sasha more but honestly because of everything Sasha was doing, I thought she really shined better than she has since 2017.

But it still takes two to tango, Ronda was a terrific partner in that match
