tacitally Mantra is placed very well on the album but when it comes to flow, I too find it jarring.

I feel the same. The lyrics in the chorus are awful and it just doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the album.

  3. I think it's cool though it's like a splash of cold water to wake you up - the electronic stuff lulls you into a false sense of security

my opinion on MANTRA, which I love, is a little bit tainted by the fact that I rinsed the ever living hell out of that song.

The first time I heard of this band was when Oli’s death hoax went around MySpace in 2007. I checked them out and was into CYB in late 07 - early 08 so I followed some news of the band closely.

The piss bottle incident was big news in the scene in ‘08 and it got massive attention (Alt Press even did an article about it) when the band announced that a song on SS would be cover Oli’s feelings toward it. As far as any legal matters went, it was thrown out due to lack of evidence in court or something like that.

Did he do it? I wouldn’t be surprised because he seemed to be insufferable but until the victim speaks up again none of us really know anymore than that.

Which is probably why it was talked about a lot in the scene. For someone like Oli, it wasn’t an outrageous claim.

I mean should the allegations get brought up again in a serious manner I will drop BMTH like a hot potato but in the mean time I'll have to enjoy this album knowing full and well that Oli is kind of a douche.
A douche who made the first great record of 2019.

I had the chance to listen to it earlier today. After listening to some of the previews released this week, my expectations were 50/50, expecting it to be the first BMTH release I may not go back to (After being with them since SS), but now having heard it in full, I can say it's more than what I expected, and the logical step after TTS; there are similar elements, in particular Sugar Honey Ice & Tea reminds me of What You Need, and In the Dark has There Is... elements with the female vocals reminding me of the tracks Lights was featured on. Maybe that's why I'm partial to this album on a whole now, as those are some of my past favourites. I definitely agree, the second half of the album is much stronger, but I'm surprised how much I enjoyed Nihilist Blues (except for the breakdown and some parts). Heavy Metal was another one that stood out, as it very well speaks to the audience. And that closer!

My favourites are: Sugar Honey Ice & Tea, Why You Gotta Kick Me When I'm Down, In the Dark, Heavy Metal, Nihilist Blues, Mantra.

I'm all for truth and calling out persons when they do wrong and I'm not saying there's.no truth to these statements, but these articles come across as hearsay. And concerning his wife, his events of the story goes along the lines of Guy being the one who abused her and sent her to the hospital, which makes sense considering his past and past allegations. But I mean we definitely need more evidence with these cases concernimg him.

Can't believe I'm back after their last album but this one has an authenticity and weirdness that won me over big time

I’m one of those people that honestly likes 90% of TTS. I’d even venture tht first 7 songs are golden imo

Damn, seems like they’re gonna make a electro-pop rock classic next.

    SS->TIAH->Semp

Love the first 3, love Drown and Oh No and Run. The rest have some good moments and bad moments but nothing terrible. I think it's more consistent than Sempi if we're being honest, nothing is as blah on TTS as Go to Hell or Antivist or Seen it all

    Nope. Supporter

TTS has some great tracks and also some downright garbage tracks, would have loved to see a whole album with the same intensity as Drown and Throne. A few of those songs could have also fit on this one

  22. Drown is probably my favorite BMTH track

Drown and Doomed are my top 2

Love the whole thing but nihilist blues going right up there with Doomed as one of their best songs, so glad they made this step
