I could honestly credit those games for getting me into punk and Primus.

 

Let’s get controversial, which THPS has the best soundtrack?

 

I'm about 45% through RDRII. Wow. This game, once you really get going in it, is just as satisfying as a GTA game. Some really crazy stuff going on as well. I'm finding insane carvings in random trees, witch houses, dead bodies strewn about with serial killer letters, killer lions, crazy gun battles. People try to rob you on the paths, etc etc. I am kinda in awe also at how big this map really is.

 

Probably 3, but they’re all good up to and including American Wasteland. I’m don’t remember the ones after, except 5, which was bad.

 

Which game has Amoeba? That one.

I remember at the time skateboarding magazines sometimes used to come with CDs that also had amazing stuff on them

 

I'll never forget that Dave Mirra (RIP) Freestlyle BMX 2 introduced me to Gang Starr. think you could even turn all the other songs off and had "Moment of Truth" on repeat.

 

I remember I got all hyped to buy the new version of the original THPS and like half of the soundtrack was gone due to licensing.

There was a BMX game that had Jayou by Jurassic 5 on it and I remember liking that when I was a kid but I didn't own the game

 

I know @Your Milkshake played BMX XXX

 

Inline skating was corny but Aggressive Inline was a good game too

 

I think I'm remembering wrong about it being a BMX game, I think it was Grind Session

 

I almost bought it back then because well more extreme sport gaming

 

Jet Grind Radio had a killer soundtrack

 

Slightly different thing but Freekstyle was an amazing game. It also had this trick-focused arena mode, not just races. I actually went back to it again somewhat recently and it’s still good.

 

Preordered RE2 finally.

THPS2 was always my favourite out of the Tony Hawk soundtracks but they were all pretty great and got me into a lot of bands. Some of the covers on American Wasteland got me into some classic bands too.

As for hip hop on the soundtracks this one always reminds me of the TH games.

 

In terms of hip hop THPS4 had a really good selection too

 

To be fair, ATV Off-road Fury 2 had a better soundtrack compared to most THPC games.
