is someone suggesting in this thread that “ten days late” is a not-great song

 

I suggest all of these things yes

 

"10 Days Late" "Deep Inside Of You" and "Never Let You Go" are all fantastic songs, wtf is going on in here?!

 

These are bad opinions!

 

I mean they're *fine* and if they were standalone singles I'd enjoy them a fair bit, but having them take up the space where finished versions of "Gorgeous" etc. could have been is ridiculous. one listen to that demo and I forget what those other songs sound like

This is all SUPER interesting, thanks for sharing. That being said, Alright Caroline is farrrrrrr from experimental. Gorgeous, kinda the same thing. Both are solid songs though. I don't know the other two, now I have to look them up! That being said, the songs you mention taking out in place of them makes no sense haha, but interesting thoughts nonetheless!

also known as Separation I think? It's this like ambient pop ballad that I love so so much

just to clarify, I didn't mean any of those demos are like Red Summer Sun level of 'holy shit this is wild, just that they had the potential to be beautiful weird art pop songs more in like with the second half of the album than the ones that (imo) don't fit all that well. one man's opinion, Blue is phenomenal either way

Self/Titled is by far the best, OOTV is #2 and super super underrated, Blue is a distant 3rd

 

i mean thank god "camouflage" made the album i guess, imo it's the artiest they ever got

 

Yeah, Out of the Vein was a clear step up from Blue for me. Easily my second favorite. The other three are more or less on even keel in my ranking.

Blue sold out a few months ago just on their site, but yeah I agree that's kind of a non-story lol
