Because it worked so well with Atlantic, I'd be interested. To each their own though. Riley's ambient stuff I good though.

The crowd is super into the new stuff. That's surprising, not used to that with old scene bands

I was surprised by that as well, but really enjoyed the shift.

It also shows how people weren't into Major/minor (as a whole). When your last release only has 1 song in your current set, there's something to be said about that.

Well there are only two songs from Beggars in the setlist and that came out just before M/M. What does that say about Beggars?

But I know people love Beggars. That was their second best record, per the consensus, until TBEItBN. It's even been my number one at times. Conversely, I know many people were disappointed by M/m. I don't think I accepted it until I knew they were coming back with a new record this year. If that was their swan song, I'd hold it in higher esteem, something I don't have to do any longer. At least it has one of their greatest songs ever (Words). That being said, it's not a song I NEED to hear live every tour.

Also, this tour's setlist is supposed to be unusual, aside from the new record. The best of Beggars has been played so much already. That's why they finally played Wood and Wire after all these years. The objective was to remove the songs they've played a lot and replace them with some deep cuts. For the most part.

I just noticed that this in-store from a few days ago has been uploaded to YouTube:

Please God, deliver me a 'Best of Thrice' Acoustic record. Gimme some strings, a clean tele for Teppei, a beefy Martin for Dustin, some brushes for Riley and a wooden lung for Ed.

Seriously, how good would "The Long Defeat" sound with that arrangement?

"Excuse the extra rasp... it's still early in the tour." Dustin

As I've said from day 1, I think his stamina builds up as the tour progresses. He sounded quite good these last couple shows; far better than my night at Shrine.

I wish Coheed and Cambria would do this with their set lists. On their last tour, aside from all of The Color Before The Sun stuff(which was totally cool), they played all the stuff they normally play.

    Thank you Thrice.

They sounded great last night. I was surprised at the crowds reaction to the new stuff. Sustained some facial bruising from some bro dudes that were obviously upset that they didn't play deadbolt.

That reminds me of the last Thursday show I was at. A group of bros would boo every time they played a song that wasn't off of Full Collapse. They kept shouting Cross out the Eyes, even after they played it.
