one of my first shows was 311 ft. Alien Ant Farm and on that night my 14 year old ass learned what a contact high was

My first contact high was at a music festival during the set of Papa Roach which makes perfect sense

I wasn't even watching them I was at the edge of the place because AFI was supposed to be doing a meet and greet but they cancelled so I met Muse instead

 

my 311 show was at an “armory” (glorified college basketball court) and there was nowhere for it all to escape lol

 

I'm not sure I've ever gotten a contact high at a show but maybe that was part of it

idk haha it’s not even a college court but it’s that size. maybe between that and high school. it’s called Washington Avenue Armory and it’s literally a basketball court with a stage at the far end and high rows of side seating. it is very strange and is largely used for roller derby, amateur MMA/wrestling and pro wrestling shows. it has almost been closed and condemned roughly 1,000 times. when brand new was scheduled to play like 10 years ago the roof collapsed and they had to cancel.

 

They should do all those events at the same time
