For some reason, out of aaaall the bullshit - and there is so, so much - rich people disingenuously pretending that they do not understand how marginal tax rates work pisses me off so much. I think it might be because I think it is a tactic that is 100% working on the morons they are performing for.

 

I know that as someone who does not work as a journalist to provide for my family this is much easier for me to say, but I would like to think I would have the integrity to not play ball with that bullshit and disgusting request and continue calling racist behavior and words racist.

People like Jones and Tester are fine where they are. Better them republicans. They just need to realize *they* are weak spokespeople for the democratic party.

 

I understand what you're saying and ultimately you are right. Jones won in a tough race and we might not hold him in 2020; we barely won that seat against a pedophile. But there is absolutely no reason for them to be coming out and putting the new fresh face of their party on blast. The people who are making AOC an issue are Fox News and the GOP, in the most petty and obviously classist and racist way. Ultimately she represents the change we are seeing in this country; I can see why they'd be threatened by that because they are gonna be the casualty of a younger, more colorful and progressive youth. I just can never understand why dems latch on to conservative talking points; is it some weird effort to seem less partisan? Capitulate to a more "moderate" dem base? It just makes them look more weak and divided.
