I got in at rooms but the raw musicianship on the first two albums is awesome. Did a nice discog run yesterday and enjoyed it thoroughly

 

Did a full discog run through recently as well. I think Somewhere is my favorite still. Remaster is bangin

Footsteps is one of my favorite songs by them but I just don’t get the way the guitars were handled in the mix. They are comically loud with an annoying emphasis on the low mid frequencies. It sounds ridiculously bad in my car

 

Yeah I did only listen to it in my car, but I’m curious how it will sound on my beats. 2/2 for me tho

 

I enjoyed both of these so far

 

Sounds great in my car and it sounds great in my headphones.

I doubt this is “bad” production - more like “bad” taste if that makes sense... I stylistic choice if you will

Offended? Lol funny choice of words. No I’m annoyed at weird passive aggression because I don’t like the mix on what I called one of my favorite la dispute songs of all time

 

I give a pinpoint description of what exactly bothers me and all I get is a “sounds good to me,” yeah that’s annoying and doesn’t take the conversation anywhere

 

im just giving you a hard time buddy! Im sure you got your style you like for mixing... but if your style means that La Dispute sounds bad, i dont want ya coming near my mixing

 

It’s literally just the guitars in this song I don’t like. Fulton 1 sounds fantastic. Rooms sounds fantastic
