I’ve been revisiting the new album quite a bit the past week or so. It’s still very good. It gives me the same feeling I get when listening to ‘Good Mourning’ which is amazing to me bc it’s my favorite album from them.

 

Stay has been stuck in my head all day

I tried revisiting my ranking of their albums and it's way too hard

Changes a lot for me, but GD is always at the bottom for me. Never got with it even though it has two of my favorite songs from them. In fact, I enjoy the Past Live version of GD more. Same goes for Maybe I’ll Catch Fire

You cats putting Agony & Irony near the bottoms of the list are the kind of people who break up with someone because they love you and you love them but are afraid of getting hurt.

Just embrace it already. It's an amazing record.

 

Thank you! Cmon I mean; ‘I Found Away’, ‘In Vein’, ‘Do You Wanna Know?’, ‘Calling All Skeletons’, ‘Help Me’...such good songs and that’s just the front half of the album

 

I've definitely come around on Agony but everything after Do You Wanna Know is just ok/not great imo

 

Live Young and Love Love are good tho

 

I like Love Love more than I did before for sure. Live Young I don't hate but I don't think it's that good

 

Agony & Irony has the best production. Everything about the production and vibe of the album is pristine. It’s definetly my favorite vinyl packaging out of their albums i have.

 

Do You Wanna Know ? Is probably one of Dan's best songs.

 

I love it, but it’s gotta go somewhere.

 

I've also been jamming the Broken Wing EP a lot lately.

Balanced on A Shelf and Broken Wing are top tier Dan songs

 

Agony just pales in comparison to Crimson before it for me cause Matt's songwriting got really basic in comparison. It's a solid record though don't get me wrong and I like its vibe. Never been a big fan of Love Love and Live Young is in their bottom ten songs for me.

I do love Found Away, Ruin It and In Vein a ton though
Edit: yeah Do You Wanna Know is great too obv

Bonus points cause I have it signed by the band and Burned Is The House and In My Stomach are great lol

 

Broken Wing is dope.

From A&I though...i gotta go with ‘Burned Is This House’ and the extremely underrated ‘Ruin It’.

Dammit, you all. Now i have to listen to Agony & Irony.

Burned is the House and In My Stomach are both incredible

 

Agony & Irony was my first Trio album, but is near the bottom for me now. I like a lot of the songs on there, just don't love any songs like I do songs from the albums before it.
