I would 100% rather JEW just headline their own tour so we can get close to a 2-hour set than them co-headline with - or open for - anyone else.

I love Blink but I don't want them and JEW to tour together just because they were both big in the 00s. JEW works much better with stuff like the Hotelier.

What if the only bands in the bill were Blink and JEW, and both get 2 hours.

    What if it’s Blink/Jew/oso oso

Wouldn’t really happen because blink never plays even 80 minutes and they wouldn’t want the opener playing longer than them

Didn’t they play 2 hour sets for the vegas residency?

I really do like Blink, Self-Titled is an all-timer for me and I've seen them live several times, but they're the type of band that I honestly have no desire to see ever again. They're the type of band that once you see them once, you never really need to see them again.

I also don't really care for their stage antics and banter. It's a huge turn off for me.

That said, I have not seen them since Skiba joined, so maybe it's different.

Probably not because I just made a playlist of their setlist and it was 70 minutes

No I don't think they played longer than 90 minutes. The very beginning of the tour they played a long set because of the acoustic set towards the end of the show but it wasn't 2 hours.

Blink hasn't had any banter or stage antics (unless you count the flaming F word sign) since 2004. Mark is pretty low key now with Matt there, there's nothing that's said that would be a turn off unless you don't like their joke songs.

Eh, I saw them in 09 and Tom and Mark constantly went back and forth with just dumb juvenile shit. When I say turn off, I don't mean like it offends me or something, I just mean I don't want to go to live shows to watch grown men on stage make really dumb jokes and waste time. And I don't care for any of their joke songs either, which is why Self-Titled is by far my favorite Blink album, because it's easily their most mature and grown up album.

I feel the opposite. Blink-182 shows in early 00's really set the bar for me as far as what happens at a concert, what a concert should be like. I remember being baffled that some bands just play one song after another, with little to no interactions.

I find Mark and Tom to be genuinely hilarious, so it just seemed natural that a blink show would be a badass performance mixed with a comedy show.

To each their own. Obviously people enjoy it because they're astronomically huge and continue to sell well. I just personally don't prefer the antics and banter.

On the other side, I love it when bands play one song after another with no interactions. I go to shows for the music, not to be entertained by any sort of stage banter. Yeah, it's cool when a band will stop and maybe tell a little story or tidbit before a song, or talk a little about the city they're currently in, but I don't need to the constant teenage humor between songs.

Completely agree with you. I liked the back and forth between Mark and Tom and found them funny too back in the day. Obviously a lot of their jokes haven't aged well now but I liked how a blink concert felt special and different because of those interactions and them just not playing song after song and barely acknowledging the crowd.

I’ve come to realize in my old age I like a healthy dose of both. I like the band engaging the crowd and talking, telling a story or cracking some jokes. But I also don’t want them to go on for too too long. Taking Back Sunday does a good middle ground imo for example

Never heard of oso oso before this post. They are pretty damn cool, thanks for the tunes lol.

Honestly, Blink is on an entirely different level than JEW. I can see JEW touring medium capacity venues co-headlining with a band like Manchester Orchestra or TBS, mostly.

Blink's ticket-selling ability hasn't really diminished all that much with the receding of pop-punk/emo's popularity, but I don't think JEW or pretty much any other band in that area pushes the same kind of sales in recent years.

While true, they are still very mediocre live for a band of their size

Last night I listened to Bleed American for the first time and now I can’t stop. That bridge in A Praise Chorus is JEW perfection.

I’ve always been a fan of this band but for some reason I never listened to Bleed American or Static Prevails.
