I always tell myself how lucky I was to be able to see them quite a few times in that era. IDK what it was....it could've been age difference/maturity level for me, but that 99-03 era was something else. Compared to the Untitled/Reunion eras that followed...it was a night and day difference. It just wasn't the same. Although, Untitled era was awesome....I still think back to the times before it and remember more about those shows than anything that came after.

    I love blink-182.

  2. Same! I remember seeing them in 2004 with no doubt and turning to my then-girlfriend-now-wife and saying “something’s not right...”

Breaking out the TOYPAJ vinyl for some pregame beers. I love the detail they put into it.

I'm still so glad I got to see them at the Worcester Palladium with Alkaline Trio and Sum 41 in 2001. Little over 2k capacity, feel super lucky to have gotten tickets

Yeah same here. There just wasn’t any I don’t know what the right word is maybe chemistry but it was definitely a different feeling watching them in 2004. Last time I saw them all play together in the fall of 2013 you could take they were just going through the motions. But yeah 2004 was strange because again musically they never sounded better but I think the big thing was the banter was gone that really changed the band’s live performances. Not saying they had to keep making poop or sex jokes after each song but barely acknowledging each other just wasn’t blink.

  8. The first time I saw Blink was during the MTATS tour. Then I saw them 2 or 3 times before the hiatus. And I’ve seen them 4 or 5 times since the first reunion.

First time I ever saw them was sadly the reunion tour. And then when they toured neighborhoods, and then California.

Would have been more if they didn’t cancel twice

4 times with Tom (2011-2013) and 4 times with Matt. The best show out of those was easily for the untitled anniversary

Pop Disaster would be my dream tour, but I was 6 when it happened lol. Would give anything for them to do that again

You also got to see it on the dopest date possible

I was 14 and asked my dad "what's that smell?" and I distinctly remember a large cloud of smoke coming from the audience, haha

Seen them once. In 2012 during their European run. It was around the time when Tom seemed to be excited about blink again. Wasn't much banter but it looked like they had fun. They killed it on man overboard.

    Die rad.

first time I saw blink was 11/14/99 (Travis's bday) in NJ. Then the mark tom travis show in 2000. then pop disaster tour 2002. Then with No Doubt in like 2004 or 05? Then reunion tours. Never seen with Matt

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

My first blink show was 11/13/03 on the Dollabill Tour. Five days before Untitled came out.

My first time seeing Blink was at a radio show in 2001, like 2 weeks after TOYPAJ came out. They were one of the 4 headliners, alongside Jane's Addiction (I think this was part of their reunion), Stone Temple Pilots and Staind. Openers were Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed and Crazy Town.

So yeah, I was one of the only people there not booing Blink.

This. It's a little more than autotune on the vocals - it is whatever effect Feldmann uses to make every band sound like him.

Was listening to "Life Changes" off the Good Charlotte album he produced - and had this thought - if you play the albums be produced for Blink, Good Charlotte, All Time Low, and the newest Goldfinger album - they all sound like they have the same lead singer.

Bad Religion opening for Blink 182. I’m sure there were a lot of people confused, but some people overwhelmed by how awesome that is.

First time I saw them live was on Labor Day in Sept 2001 towards the end of the TOYPAJ tour. They were the headliner for a big CT music festival. They played with NFG, Sum 41 and Good Charlotte to name a few. I have a flier that said Jimmy Eat World and Alkaline Trio were there but don’t remember seeing them unfortunately.

One of the biggest things that always stuck out to me was Mark coming out in a Superman costume waving the American flag for the encore. The next week was 9/11 and I know he did it the whole tour but just something I remember about it.

I saw then in 2002 for the Pop Disaster Tour (with Saves The Day instead of Jimmy), in 2004 with No Doubt, in 2011 for the Neighborhoods tour, in 2013 during a random east coast tour before they did the Untitled Anniversary tour and in 2016 for the California tour. The only tour I missed for 2009 for the Reunion tour, I didn’t have anyone to go with but it ended up being the day after DJ AM died and seeing videos of the show the band wasn’t as lively as they normally were.
