I wish I had a grandparent still alive

I blame having going into work at 6 am

 

lost all 4 of my grandparents in the past 2 and a half years.

sucks.

 

Sorry to hear that, man. I lost all of mine before I graduated from high school. So it's been over a decade, but yeah, it still sucks.

My grandma turns 90 in April and still lives on her own

All mine were gone before I was ten.

 

That's awesome. A good friend of mine had his grandma live alone until she was 95 or so? She had at least one martini every day since she retired haha

 

same, I haven't had any since I was 16

 

my wife's grandma is getting up there. I think she's around 90 but she's very healthy, father in law brought her here for xmas and that was nice because my kids love her.

all of mine passed around 80 or so.

 

living to be super old sounds like complete ass. we have/had alot of people in our family who live a long ass time. I WILL be living a risky life past the age of 75.

My grandpa is 90 this year and a couple of years ago he picked me up from penn station and he grabbed my suitcase and ran up the stairs and my lazy ass took the escalator. Bless that man.

 

i work for a 40 person company and our HR person doesn't think it's necessary for us to communicate when someone leaves the company. like, we all do a little bit of everything so if someone leaves, uh, it's kind of critical to know that in advance and not from their auto email reply you dunce

 

my grandma died three days before christmas. she had been married to my grandpa for 72 years (married at 18). he now just putters around their assisted living facility bored out of his mind. he's been waiting to die for two decades he says. smokes 3 packs of cigarettes a day to "speed up the process"

 

as soon as I can logistically be a cyborg I will be a goddamn cyborg
