Yes, Morrison was a drug-addled ego in leather pants (the older I get, the harder it is for me to defend him) but their music was pretty eclectic and a good mash-up of genres at the time.

I got into The Doors because they were my dad's favorite band and watching VHS' of them is what ultimately made me wanna be a musician at age 10 - specifically a drummer. This video would have been my religion at that age.
