Great movie. And yea, you’re right on with score. Really does everything you need it to at all the right parts.

 

Holy s I love The Guest, and I had nooo idea that was Dan Stevens....

 

Granted I wasn’t aware of him til after Legion, but still. I remember the antagonist being p jacked.

 

The First Purge was real good

 

I feel targeted.

Gotta say Bird Box had me feeling really unsettled for almost the entire run. There were parts that didn't work the first "seeing" guy (not sure what to call them) in the river kind of made me laugh.. Overall, my feeling is that it was good though. I can see the Happening comparisons (never seen it, but I know the premise), but it really reminded me of The Mist.

Sandra Bullock's character arc seemed a little half-baked but worked it in the end. It was for sure corny, but I teared up when she named the kids. I am realizing that I am a sucker for that kind of shit haha
Anyway, I've got to watch an hour of any comedy now, because I'm home alone and still feeling creeped out haha.

 

Really? I was kinda pissed off that it took being "shamed" (read: simply asked) what their names were and oh yeah your name is Tom, who was your father figure your whole life and who died 2 days before that but i guess that doesn't matter bc you also don't know why he didn't come on the trip
Edit: like i know they're only 5 or 6 but come on lol they are old enough to understand things

 

Bird Box was fine... it’s the Happening (which at the time thought was an interesting premise) but with better actors.

 

I like the Bird Box memes more than the actual film

I don't disagree with you at all haha. Like I said, I can just be kind of a sucker for that emotionally manipulative stuff, even when it's kind of dumb and eye-roll inducing(as in this particular case).

 

well, I got about an hour left of Bird Box but I can safely say it's one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen

 

Very overrated and it felt like it was 3 hours long.

 

You'd think everyone excited about Bird Box had never seen a horror film before lol. It's success is a good thing though, means Netflix will only make more Horror in the future.

 

I think after the first couple days people watch it just to get the bird box memes.

It also helps it stars an A-list actress.

 

The teenagers not knowing who Sandra Bullock is is also a meme

Bird Box is "my first horror film" for a lot of people right

 

I still need to see The Shining, The Witch, and It Follows.
Heck, I'd rather rewatch Train to Busan, Raw, or even XX.
I'm not a huge horror fan and even I can tell there are much better choices on Netflix.
