I never said that spending=winning but being able to eat costly mistakes is a huge advantage

If the Brewers were a top 10 revenue team they would have traded for Machado and made the World Series - they can’t do that unless they want to severely handicap their future

Teams like the Cubs Yankees Dodgers Sox etc don’t have to worry about that

 

2017-2018 Dodgers = 2010-2011 Rangers

 

Spending doesn’t equal winning, but to say there’s no visible correlation is crazy. You can’t use the playoffs as your sole argument.

Over the past 10 years, the teams with the most regular season wins strongly reflect the big revenue teams.
